Monica threw a birthday party for her son Lil Rock’s 2nd birthday. Some of her fellow Atliens came through and if they weren’t there, their children were representing for them.

Rumored couple Kimora Lee Simmons & actor Djimon Hiunsou were spotted at Cannes Film Festival De Grisogono Party last night in France. Word has it the two were getting real comfortable with each other. I guess they are letting their relationship out the bag, because he had his hand all up on her thigh in the first pic. Do you Kimora!
Other party attendees included: Eva Mendes, Kelly Rowland, Quincey Jones, and more!
Today AOL Music premiered the video from Fabolous, ‘Make Me Better’ featuring Ne-Yo. This is a definite summer banger, and if your radio station hasn’t been playing it out yet, it will.
The video has appearances by actress Roselyn Sanchez, Ray J, and DJ Clue. From Nothin’ To Somethin’ drops on June 12th.
I’m glad to see The Neptunes producing stuff again, because they’d been missing in action for a little while. Remember a couple of days ago, there were pictures from this video shoot on the Loop? Well, I was wondering where the song was, because it hadn’t leaked yet. However, since I figured that it was going to be boring, I was pleasantly surprised, but then again, I guess I shouldn’t have been considering that Twista always does good work with Pharrell. I’m really feeling what I’ve heard.

Ciara, Patti LaBelle and Lynn Whitfield will star in CodeBlack Entertainment’s “Mama, I Want to Sing!,” the feature adaptation of the Off-Broadway gospel musical.
“Mama” will start production in Baton Rouge, La., next month. It’s slated for theatrical release next February under CodeBlack’s multi-picture deal with Fox’s FoxFaith label.
“Mama, I Want to Sing!” tells the story of a preacher’s daughter, who rises from the church choir to pop stardom; the character’s based on Doris Troy, best known for the 1963 hit “Just One Look.” The stage show played more than 2,400 performances between 1983 to 1991.
Deal marks the first feature role for Ciara, a Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter who will play the lead.
When female rappers Foxy and Kim were hot several years ago, another female rapper was desperate to achieve their fame but she never came close. Instead, she was on the outside looking in at the success of Foxy and Kim. She yearned and envied their fame and popularity but this didn’t stop her from giving the illusion of success due to celebrity peer pressure. She was fronting all over town, telling people she paid cash for her home, when in reality, the house was rented. Her bling was also borrowed (from jewelers) and her luxurious car was leased. Her fans had no idea that she was barely scrapping by. Her rap career is just about over and it’s doubtful that she’ll ever receive royalty checks (for significant amounts) because the majority of her record sales were low. For survival, recently, she has begun to date dope boys (exclusively) to help out with the bills.
Hints: This female rapper is very well known in the black community and it’s not Remy Ma.
