Monica threw a birthday party for her son Lil Rock’s 2nd birthday. Some of her fellow Atliens came through and if they weren’t there, their children were representing for them.

Mario is back with a new video for his first single off his upcoming album “Go”. His third studio album is said include a number of collaborations with such folks as Polow Da Don, Pharrell, Akon, and Johnta Austin.
“Go” is scheduled for release on July, 30th.

I’m glad to see The Neptunes producing stuff again, because they’d been missing in action for a little while. Remember a couple of days ago, there were pictures from this video shoot on the Loop? Well, I was wondering where the song was, because it hadn’t leaked yet. However, since I figured that it was going to be boring, I was pleasantly surprised, but then again, I guess I shouldn’t have been considering that Twista always does good work with Pharrell. I’m really feeling what I’ve heard.

“Mama” will start production in Baton Rouge, La., next month. It’s slated for theatrical release next February under CodeBlack’s multi-picture deal with Fox’s FoxFaith label.
“Mama, I Want to Sing!” tells the story of a preacher’s daughter, who rises from the church choir to pop stardom; the character’s based on Doris Troy, best known for the 1963 hit “Just One Look.” The stage show played more than 2,400 performances between 1983 to 1991.
Deal marks the first feature role for Ciara, a Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter who will play the lead.
When female rappers Foxy and Kim were hot several years ago, another female rapper was desperate to achieve their fame but she never came close.
