Arrest
In 1999, Campbell was arrested after soliciting oral sex from an undercover police officer during a sting operation in Van Nuys, California. According to police reports, marijuana residue was also found in Campbell’s car during the arrest.
The sting operation was reportedly conducted in an area near Van Nuys High School, where there had been numerous complaints from the public about cruising and solicitation. Although the police report clearly states that the arresting/sting officer was a male, there has been considerable speculation as to Campbell’s sexual orientation since the incident. To date, Campbell has not commented publicly on this matter.
Campbell plead no contest to the misdemeanor of solicitation, and as a result was ordered to pay $1080.00 in fines, attend meetings of Narcotics Anonymous and participate in a court-sanctioned AIDS awareness class. He returned to court in February 2000 to provide proof that he had completed the requirements of his sentence

Folks, give Tevin a break! I saw him i Hairspray in September and he was fabulous. In fact, in one scene where the actors come into the audience, he was standing right beside me. His skin looked terrific and his voice is still amazing. He looks “cracked out”, as some of you say, because all that broadway makeup takes its toll on your skin. He may be trisexual, but Tevy can still sing his ass off!

People on here can be brutal. I admit he doesn’t have a fresh faced look anymore it kinda surprised me too. But when some people have been through a lot it can show on their face. And besides he isn’t a little kid anymore. So he’s not gonna totally look the same. Anyway at least he’s trying to make a comeback by being on Broadway and doing something in his adult life then doing something negative so I have to give him props for that.

1. You’re obviously a stan stuck so far up MG and anyone else’s ass that you lash out at anyone with a negative comment. I said that she has no talent, and yes I am analyzing her career. She’s a celebrity, so she leaves herself open for analyzing on a daily basis. And since you obviously didn’t know where you were when you typed out your comment, this is a celebrity gossip blog. You’re bound to find all kinds of comments about celebs, good and bad, so keep that in mind the next time you come across someone with a different opinion. Take into consideration the fact that not everyone thinks exactly like you do, and negative comments don’t always mean someone is “hating”. When comparing hosting 106 & Park to the things I’ve already done in my short lifetime, the whole BET thing really doesn’t compare at all. So tell me, how low do you set the bar on achieving your goals? Is being on 106 & Park the best thing since sliced bread? Where exactly is the importance in that..feel free to point that out to me. Honestly, I’m so busy with my CAREER that I don’t even have time to watch that show, but obviously you do. As far as charity events go, I’ve hosted tons of them. Since you inquired about it, I’m involved in a scholarship program that reaches out to college students from poverty-stricken families, and another scholarship program that involves raising money and buying gifts for orphans and kids in the children’s hospital in my city. But as I said before, if you want to know anything else about me, just comment back and we can totally chat!
So Anikashika I have a few questions for you, if you don’t mind answering them. I hope you don’t, especially since you asked all about me:
1. Are YOU involved in any charity/scholarship events? I’d love to know if you’re doing anything for your community, instead of just calling out so called “haters” on the CL. Let me know about that!

Tevin Campbell is supossed to be releasing a new album called “Back To Love” sometime this summer.
I can’t be too surprised about it. All the negative comments on Tevin Campbell’s current appearance and that rumor that should have stayed buried a long time ago. I guess I’ll never know why some people keeping hating him, calling him a fag which is not even true, I mean, wtf has he done to them and some you presonally to make anybody call him that. Now I know most of you do not like it when someone else disrespects your favorite celebrities, do you? Would the ladies like it when someone tells them that their favorite male star whol they drool over (whether he is a singer, rapper, actor or althete) is gay, would they appreciate it even if it’s not true? Alright then. He may look a little older than his current age, he may not look hot without facial hair, and some people still labeling his as gay, but you know what, I’m not going sweat that because I simply don’t care what other people or any of you say about him. He’s alive, healthy, working in the musical play, Hairspray (which I will go see soon since I live in NYC), and to me, he’s still looks bootyliscious and I’m looking forward to working with him soon. People, love or hate him (even if you’re fan or was), please if none of you got nothing nice to say about him now, then SAY NOTHING AT ALL.

OMG!!!! I haven’t seen Tevin in years. I’m 30 years old, and I remember when he was with Quincy Jones and Prince before he went solo. What the hell happen to his sexy looks. He looks like he smoke crack, he’s lighter than he used to. He was never that light when he first came out. I heard that he’s gay now. I’m crying because I wanted him to be my first, LMAO!!! I talked to him when he was in Philly. WOW, that’s ashame that he let himself go like that.

I’m glad to see Tevin back at work and out doing what he does best-SINGING. Yes, one of the songs he sings in Hairspray is “Run and Tell That”. He does a great job in his performance of acting and singing. I must agree with someone that he is 30 now and still shouldn’t look 11 or 12. He really doesn’t look that bad in the pic, it just that people don’t always dress up when they go out. He’s probably just coming from rehearsal of the broadway play. Tevin does have a MP3 download on Amazon of “2008-Never Before Heard” songs. #’s 1-5 are GREAT! And YES, he still has his God-given gift and many talents of: singing, songwriter, musicain, actor, broadway play, etc. I love Tevin and his music and I still think that he is one of the BEST ARTISTS to ever grace us with his music. I’m anticipating his long awaited comeback CD, and hope that he is in the studios as I write, for a release before year end or early part of next year. We just don’t hear that good kind of music anymore. Trust me, Tevin could (can) sing them all! Love you Tevin and wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors. GOD BLESS!
