Amber-eyed and statuesque, the tomboy turned budding fashionista and newly minted Cover Girl spokesmodel is all set to release her third CD, Good Girl Gone Bad, June 5. Rihanna’s got high hopes to continue her reign over the domestic and international pop charts, saying, “I have a lot of faith in this album.”
In the last couple of years, the 19-year-old has grown up, and her style is maturing as well. This year the rising star will infuse her good-girl image with a touch of glam rock. She says of her evolving look, “It’s definitely going to be different from what people are used to.” But for this brief relaxing moment in the sun, the dress code is easy elegance: attire as soft and fresh as a tropical breeze.

SHE COULD NOT BE A MODEL. her legs are like tree trunks. she has a cute caribbean girl look so facially they might like her (they would force her to get a nose job though just like they did w/tyra, kimora, and others) but being a model is more than just being a pretty face. eva pigford is gorgeous but what modeling is she doing (and i mean high fashion modeling). you have to be able to pose, to evoke emotion w/your eyes, all of which this girl can’t do. she should stick to singing b/c she makes money doing this

Rihanna looks great. She is representing the Island girls very well. I enjoyed her first 2 CDs – mixture of pop and reggae and though I thought umbrella ella ella was silly at first, it has grown on me. Do your thing girl. I never heard any claims that Ashanti’s label bought million copies of her cd; but i did hear that about beyonce on b-day. I dont know how true any of these claims are. But i know even if that was done, for her to be on Essence, they contacted her, she didn’t contact them, which means she’s in demand. The endorsements she’s been getting lately, i’m sure they are going after her. And its because she has a huge fan base, and they are hoping her fans buys whatever she endorses. Makes perfect sense. So my point was, people can hate on Rhianna all they want, but the girl is OBVIOUSLY doing something right, and whatever it is, it’s taking her straight to the top, no-cant-singing, big forehead, and big wallet and all.
