According to her official site, Kelly Rowland’s album has been pushed back…YET AGAIN! This time it’s only by a week, but I have a feeling this isn’t the last of it. Ms. Kelly was set to be released on June 26th, but was pushed back to July 7th. Kelly you need switch management, ASAP!

Akon and his camp has been telling everyone he was born in 1981 ever since he hit the scene. This obviously was a damn lie, because different reports say the singer is actually 34. Even Vibe Magazine had to keep it real with the public. Come on Akon we all could tell your ass wasn’t an 80’s baby anyway. Get the fuck outta here.

GLORIA CARTER HONORED

Jay-Z stopped by City Hall to watch his mother, Gloria Carter, receive a proclamation from the City Council for her “outstanding contributions to the community.”

Carter oversees the Shawn Carter Scholarship Fund, a college-focused charity created in 2003 to help people who might otherwise not have the opportunity for higher education, such as disadvantaged youth and nontraditional high school graduates. The charity also offers mentoring programs and other services.

Jay-Z looked on as his mother received the framed proclamation. Afterward, they embraced in the City Hall rotunda.

“Very proud of her,” the 37-year-old rapper said as they left the building.

SHAR WORKING ON AN ALBUM

Former Moesha star and K-Fed’s Original Baby Mama Shar Jackson is hoping to launch her pop career with a little help from producer Pharrell Williams.

Shar, who recently underwent cosmetic surgery overhaul, is hoping to release her first album later this year, and she’s calling on the studio skills of Williams.

“I’ve got everything crossed. I’d really like to work with Pharrell.”
