Boris Kodjoe is on the cover of Ebony Magazine’s 2007 Father’s Day Edition. According to various sources, Ludacris was originally scheduled to appear on Ebony’s June cover, but was quickly replaced because hip-hop/IMUS racy lyrics thing. I don’t get why they replaced him, but whatever.

Word is Tameka Foster (Usher’s new wifey) is the one behind the management change going on in Usher’s camp. As we reported earlier this week, Usher has confirmed that his mother,Jonetta Patton, (who has been managing him since forever) will no longer take on this duty. Usher has also fired his longtime publicist Simone Smalls.
Word is, Tameka doesn’t want anyone but her in Usher’s ear. Ut oh this relationship sounds dangerous!
In related news, Jawn Murray told the Tom Jorner Morning show that Jonetta (Usher’s mama) has taken out a restraining order on Tameka. I smell DRAMA!!
JANET GOES TO ISLAND?
Jermaine Dupri’s new role as president of urban music at Island records will feature familiar faces – his girlfriend Janet Jackson is set to join him at the label. Dupri is convinced his pop star girlfriend will be an asset to the company after recording fifteen number one hit singles in the U.S. since 1986.
Asked if Jackson will join the label, he tells MTV, “Definitely Janet will end up at Island. That’s without a doubt.”

Rapper Bow Wow and R&B star Omarion have patched up their friendship after agreeing to record a double album together. The two pals split last year after a professional dispute but are now on good terms again, and they’re starting work on a joint album project. Bow Wow tells Billboard.com he and Omarion expect to hit the studio before the end of the month.
He says, “Me and O have been trying to put this together for so many years, and now we’ve got the opportunity to do it… Me and him are coming up with ideas daily, so the process is gonna go real smooth. We’re anxious to get in the studio together and make this whole thing happen.”

I don’t know if it’s been said but Usher’s mother said when she gives him advice it’s because it’s coming from the Lord. If she’s genuine he really should’ve listened because having to take a restraining order out is ridiculous! It’s bad when the 2 people you love the most can’t be around each other!Mother’s usually know best if they have your best interest at heart.

Why such a dramatic move with the restraining order? So with her having a restraining order on her soon-to-be daughter-in-law, I guess she won’t be attending the wedding. Weird.
Ebony i ain’t feeling that decision i don’t have a problem with Boris but what’s Ludacris lyrics got to do with his daughter, it was about black fathers and he takes care of his daughter, so what’s the problem.

Thank you for stating my point. There is a difference in experience and culture between someone who is raised in an African culture and someone who is a product of the Black American culture. The man will tell you that he learned how to speak english from watching Video Soul. Not saying he didn’t have his own struggles and challenges, my point was that as a Black American I feel that “The New Black Father” should be someone who is a product of the Black American culture. Black is more than an appearance, it is a culture. If I were Nigerian I wouldn’t want Will Smith on a cover of a magazine that’s suppose to represent my people saying He was the posterboy for fatherhood.
There are plenty of great Black American Dad’s out here. Truth is its about selling, and Boris is attractive, and women fawn all over him, and Ebony knew it would sell mags. But alas, I’m sure someone will consider me racist or closeminded, but in reality I’m just honest.

The men in her life she likes to include in her music I have notice. Me being a major in music, I would recommend Jimmy and Terry to handle the production part of her career because they are true veterans….and I feel they know her best. In my opinion I feel they are over looked in music to a certain extent…they should be winning grammys and writing awards not Jermaine! If you look on Wikipedia..they produced a lot of songs for a lot of people…I have mad respect for those guys…Terry is 50 and still going strong! They are responsible for Janet’s career and are innerchangeable when it comes to sound..they are still producing today…
Is this Usher’s “way” of coming out of the closet? Too successful to be with a man but he gets the next best thing. How could someone with his sex appeal be with a woman that looks like that? I think this will affect his popularity. A whipped man is not sexy!!!!!
