MTV star Nick Cannon has proposed to girlfriend, Victoria’s Secret model Selita Banks, and gave the model a 12 carat diamond ring. The couple were attending the Costume Institute Gala at the Met (click here for pics from the event).
TMZ.com reported that Cannon had a trick up his sleeve: “Selita will you marry me?” lit up on the giant Jumbotron in the Square.
Cannon surprised Selita by flying in her parents and best friends. They left their engagement party and caught a private plane back to L.A. so Nick could be back at MTV Tuesday morning.
