According to the NY Post, Usher is set to fire his Momma anyday now:
Usher could have quite a Mother’s Day surprise for his mom, Jonetta Patton. The R&B superstar may be easing her out as his manager, according to insiders.
The muscle behind the putsch is said to be Usher’s fiancee, Tameka Foster.
“They definitely don’t get along,” one spy tells us. “Tameka came to Jonetta’s birthday on April 6. They hugged and posed for photos, but it was all for the cameras.”
The rift dates back to when Jonetta encouraged Usher to fire Tameka as his stylist. “Tameka went on the radio and took some shots at Jonetta,” says a source.
But Usher, 28, still liked Tameka, 38, and vice versa. In fact, she ended up leaving her husband for him. (Reps are denying she’s pregnant.)
“Tameka has a hold over him,” says one friend. “Nobody can figure it out. Some people think he may make Tameka his manager.”
Execs at Jive, Usher’s label, are said to be concerned. “They think Jonetta’s done an incredible job with his career. They’re encouraging her to take on Britney Spears.”
Now what the hell is Jonetta going to do with Britney Spears crazy behind? And how messed up would it be if Usher did fire his Mommy on Mother’s Day? Oh, there would be blood shed.

Usher’s mother is an experienced wise woman, she knows what the deal is; she sees right through this woman Tameka. I mean what does Usher see in Tameka Foster, first of all, she is older than 38, she is 10 years older than Usher, lol. please she is every bit of 43 years old.
I believe that Usher is insecure and immature in his mind, I think that he likes older women because he needs that constant secureness in his life. I am quite sure that the women he cheats with is his age and younger.
Usher needs to meet a woman that has a clean slate: no children, never been married, and someone that cant hang out with his mother. He is pushing 30, but he is too young to have all of this baggage in his life.
As soon as Usher marries Foster, she is going to have his babies, and once the trust funds are set up, she is going to drop him like a hot spoon. Usher thinks that he is all of that, trying to act all suave and grown and sexy please,lets see how you are going to be if you fire your momager.
How are you gonna marry a cheater? But I guess if you’re a cheater yourself, it kinda balances out the entire situation. *sigh*
Usher’s mom has been instrumental in his success. However, if he wants to let her go, I don’t think I would hold it against him. However if it is for his girlfriend, no that would be so wrong. This older woman may have some kind of mind control on him. I guess he wants to spare his mom all the bullshit he’s about to bring.

I know a relative whose mother didn’t like his fiance simply because she didn’t want ANYONE to marry her son, no woman was good enough, so she found all kinds of excuses to tell him not to marry her, she said the woman was there for the money (because he had a well paid job) with NO EVIDENCE. They’ve been married for over 15 years and HAPPY with children. Mind you she stayed when he lost his job 6 years ago, and was supporting the family for 4 years BY HERSELF, never complained and never made him feel less of a man, so needless to say he has no regrets. My father is possessive too, NO MAN was good enough for me, I love him and I understand why fathers are (over)protective, my father is a blessing but he drove me crazy when I dated, before I met my now fiance, so I had to let him know that he’d have calm down and deal with my decisions! I can listen to his advice but don’t impose anything. That’s why I WOULD marry someone that couldn’t get along with my parents (thank God that’s not the case for me – my man and my parents are cool) even if that’s the LAST thing anyone wants. Because it depends on the reason and situation.
Bill, I don’t doubt that parents have the best intentions and know better most of the time, but parents don’t know EVERYTHING and they can learn from us as much as we can learn from them. Sometimes they go too far, because they’re overprotective or simply SELFISH.

I had a dream about Usher last night. How weird is it that today, there are TWO posts concerning him…? Me and my dreams.

With most parent managers, they started as the manager because their children started very early in the business – and they were young, so their parents were always going to be with them and around them, t protect and watch over them – that’s what good parents do. Since they were always around and making the decisions for their children, it makes sense that they were also they managers. But as the “children” get older and wiser in the business, the mom-manager and parent manager relationship is no longer needed.
It’s probably best if the parents and children do separate the parental relationship from the business relationship. Too much pressure. And in this case, it really can’t help if his Mom and his wife to be – really don’t care for one another.
But… Usher better remember and respect, Mom is Mom forever, you only have one, and when they are good, that’s all you need.
It’s just a rumor, i doubt its true, i’ve seen interviews and such from the past and Usher always says his biggest inspiration and best friend is his Mum, so why would he fire her, especially considering the success he’s had… ITS A RUMORRRRRRR! lol, it aint gonna happen :/ we’ll see in time..

Floyd Sr. said he would never train anyone to fight against his son – so he didn’t train Oscar for this fight, and Floyd Jr. welcomed him to his camp — but he started having conflict with Floyd’s trainer [his brother Roger] and left camp and started talking greasy.
Floyd Jr. has said, that’s my father and I love my father.
But he’s grown with children of his own to raise. His father can’t keep bullying him, he’s a grown man with a grown mind, and that is sometimes real hard for parents to take.

Although I think Black Love is beautiful, there is an old saying Never forget where you come from. I remember during the Confessions tour there was an documentary on MTV, about how Usher came to be a star, most of his success is due to his mother. She moved to another part of the country, just to give him a better way of life, she sent him New York for Puffy to mold him. I’m thinking him mom is pretty amazing, she really did help him alot in his career, granted he is grown, whom he falls in love with can’t be arranged. However Usher don’t turn your back on your mom you may need her again one day.
