I was just watching something on MTV where T.I. was saying that this was going to be the song of the summer, and after listening, I really don’t see that for “You Know What It Is.” And honestly, why does every rapper have a song where they’ve at least said that, or it’s the title of the song? Either way, I was thinking that after the success of “Hips Don’t Lie,” Wyclef would come back on a huge production streak, but I was wrong – this really doesn’t do anything for me, and hope it’s not a reflection of what the rest of his album is about.

I remember there was a point in time where Nelly & the St. Lunatics were really a huge thing on the scene, and Murphy Lee was really supposed to be the stand-out Lunatic, but they kind of fell into the background, and until recently, the only thing I’ve heard from Murphy Lee is his verse on the “Throw Some D’s” remix. “Hatin’” is very reminiscent of something from the old St. Lunatics time too.

It took everything in me to try to not like this song, and even with everything I tried, I still ended up liking it – but something about this remix just doesn’t do it for me. I respect Kanye West, but this feature just doesn’t add anything for me. I’m honestly rather just hear Young Joc on the song, if this is all Kanye’s going to do. It sounds like something else that he’s done before. As for T. Pain, he’s on everything right now, and just living it up.
B5 feat. Bow Wow – Hydrolic (full) – download
Randomly, Diddy put B5 back on the Bad Boy Entertinament roster, and he actually is releasing a second album from them. The boys are older now, so it sounds like they’re trying to go for for a slightly more mature sound that will appeal to the teenage crowd. I don’t neccessarily care for the song, because it seems like Diddy really is just capitolizing, again, off that whole “snap” movement.

As far as B5, they have matured, their sound as well as tehir looks. Their single can be played in clubs, and also listened to by teens. With Bow Wow on the track, he sort of sounded liek Little Wayne? But everyone switches their style up every now and then.
I with the B5 brothers much success, the new album will dominate the charts. They have a very tight fan base and managment is doing there job right along side the fans promoting, calling radio stations, spreading the word. They will be on access granted May 30th. And their album will drop some time in June I suppose. I am glad Diddy is putting them out there. Good for him, and I have no problem with Bad Boy.
