IKE TURNER ACCIDENTLY ARRESTED
Ike Turner was arrested this week on a narcotic-related warrant but, it was found out that the warrent was issued and recalled in 1989. The former husband of Tina Turner was cuffed and jailed during a routine traffic stop, after cops ran his name through the system. Four months after the warrant was originally issued for his arrest, a judge officially recalled it – yet no one ever passed the news to the folks working at the computer system. ANTM’S LATINA TOP MODEL
The finale of America’s Next Top Model aired last night and though this season was a dud, the winner Jaslene sparked up the camera.
Jaslene’s fierce pictures and “cha cha diva” style led her to score the $100,000 Covergirl contract and cover of Seventeen magazine. This was the second time Jaslene entered the cycle’s modeling competition. In a previous season, the 20-year-old had tried out to become a “Top Model” and didn’t make it past the 1st round. Although much of the ANTM fan base didn’t want her to win, I’m glad she did since they kicked off my girl Dionne last week. Speaking of other disappointing reality vote offs – how wrong was it for Melinda Doolittle to go home? All of these shows are really losing their touches…
MASTER P WANTS TO TAKE A STAND
In light of the Imus controvery, Master P and his son Romeo announced the launch of their new label Take A Stand Records, whose mission is to clean up both the image and lyrics of hip-hop music.
The new label will represent artists that have pledged to be role models to both the music industry and music lovers through 100% clean lyrics and positive moral values. The first release under the new label will be a father and son album from P and Lil Romeo titled “Hip Hop History”, which is slated to debut this fall.
Saying about his current change of perspective – “I have profited millions of dollars through explicit rap lyrics,” admits Master P. “I can honestly say that I was once part of the problem and now it’s time to be part of the solution. I am ready to take a stand by cleaning up my music and follow my son’s footsteps and make a clean rap album.”
LUDACRIS MAKES MOVES – IN ANIMATION
Ludacris is still making big moves and this time he’s appearing on one of the most popular animation series of all time.
Luda -or his cartoon character rather -will appear on the 400th episode of “The Simpsons” on Sunday night. The rapper will be playing himself and the episode titled “You Kent Always Say What You Want”. His character’s name will be “Luda-Crest” in the show, for a video designed to get teens to brush their teeth.
The rapper is currently working on his third album and the second Disturbin’ Tha Peace compilation album which is due out this summer.

Exactly, and Tyra knew those plus size girls wouldn’t make it, FROM JUMP! She knew they didn’t have what it takes. She just always throw in one or two plus size girls to get the plus size audience. I don’t care what anyone says, Tocarra, did a damn good job. I believe Tyra throws them in for good measure and then kicks them off with a bullshit reason, THAT SHE KNEW FROM DAY ONE! She’s in the industry, and even before all the training for the girls, they can tell who’s going to make and whose not…all the competitions are just for ratings, but trust, they already know who’s going to the finals. A good example, Renee just didn’t start looking old, she looked old from the beginning, and that’s not something she can change. Yet, she got kicked off the show for looking too mature. They already know who’s going to be the last models standing, and then when they are ready to kick someone off, the edit the tape to fit the reason of why they are kicking a particular model off the show. If you notice on each episode, they always feature about 3 models for each episode, then all the recorded clips highlight those models. Just gotta pay attention. Tyra aint slick.
I no longer have interest in American Idol. It has turned into a popularity contest instead of a singing contest. Melinda was hands down THE NEXT AMERICAN IDOL. Although Im sure she will have no problems getting a contract, its still the whole principal of the matter.

I like Jaslene. I kind of wanted Natasha to win. She never let them girls get her down after everything she tired. Even though she is a mail order bride…her glass is still half full..I respect that…lol.
I AM SOOOOOOO PISSED THAT MY GIRL MELINDA WAS SENT HOME! The finale will basically suck without her. As for Jaslene, I’m very happy 4 her she worked her azz off this season and won this thing and even though I was rooting for Dionne from the beginning, it was nice to see her win!
Meat: There are plenty of super models of Latin origin. Most steaming from Brazil. But unless you are a truly a fashion hound you wouldn’t know that. Most of the Latina models have that alabaster-skin thing going on so they’re not as obvious as Jaslene.
I’m happy for Jaslene. Luda looks funny as an animation. Master P…..all u need to do is not make anymore records.
Im Glad Melinda got sent home, i looooooooove Blake, he should totally win, so he doesnt necessrily have the best voice, buy who nowdays in the industry does?

I stopped watching A.I. It’s boring and its rigged. How come that dumbass Sanja stayed up there. Ratings. Renee was the drama starter and tried to play that innocent role thats why they kept her up there. I didnt really watch this season foreal until they showed the reruns on VHI the marathon. Its boring as hell. Dionne was pretty and all that but all her pictures sucked. She always looked mean. Pretty dont get you nowhere in the fashion world. Okay anybody can be pretty. I am proud of Master P for being the grown man he is, taking a stand is awesome! Hip Hop music has gone too far with the “raunch” culture. Music Videos are now soft porn. Kids are being poisoned by these rappers who claim that they are keeping it real; their biggest defense is that they are rapping about what goes on on the streets, please. How is promoting gun violence, Masogony, and materialism and selling poison keeping it real. Rapping about things that go on in the streets is keeping it real, not glorifying it. Most Hip Hop is overrated these days; it is for young kids and immature adults.
But you know in a way I think that Master P taking this stand because he already made his money off of his explicit lyrics.

When I see more dark skinned Latinos on Telomundo TV,or on TV as a matter of fact,then let’s celebrate. What the he*l is the Latin explosion. A few light-skinned Latinos on TV wiggling their as**es and licking their lips, while the darker Latinos are being forced to be cast as African-Americans or criminals and hoochie mamas. I mean, I understand that the majority of Latinos are of African descent because of slavery, but their culture is Latino.

Dionee should have left weeks ago..I knew Jaslene was going to win before they revealed it in Chicago…you know a latino model was going to get it one time.
Melinda didn’t appeal to the younger crowd a lot of people thought she was boring. Jordin and Blake ALWAYS have more votes than her so it didn’t surprise me.

I think Jaslene is beautiful, in the top model aspect. not just the evryday around-the-way, print model pretty girl, which i thought a lot of the girls on the show have been. her bone structure was on point, and she had that androgenous thing going on. her face had a lot of character,a s did her personality. i’m glad she won.
Master P’s music sucks as does his son’s. Lil Romeo is cute tho. who still buys their records anyway, and furthermore y do they have all that damn money?!!!
