  24. SEABREEZE

sike, nah I didn’t expect much. One thing I don’t like is big, buff men. Such a turn off. I can’t help but think they are packing because they are lacking elsewhere.

  25. I can’t see the video.
Is it the same booty-poppin bullshit they are trying force down our throats? The typical mumbuling 50 Cent lyrics with his large teeth shining in the face of the innocent, blinding them for life? Someone tell me!

  26. guccigirl

(in the voice of Damon Wayans ) ……HATED IT!!

  27. Cynthia

He’s lookin’ good. Can’t deny that 50′s a hell of businessman. He knows just how to market himself and his products, and make more money. However, I do think that the video and song is so svery similar to Candy Shop.

  28. guccigirl

#24 CHELLY….Im with you! They are some low lives for yo ass. Fallon with her bad built ass always has something to say and Kristal real real boney ass has a big ass mouth!!!

    50′s smile was wack…..

  30. BEYONCESSWEATYCROTCH

  31. NMusiqNSoul

Shit silly, I was expectin some Rakim/Pac shit from Curtis tho, shame on me. (insert sarcasm tags up hurr] I mean his new album is called “Curtis”. Yet the first single he drop is the same shit/or worse as Candy Shop. With an album title like that I would guess this represents his more private personal side uh well… Thanks for showing us some “Curtis” Brother. You’ve grown. Lyrically specially.

  32. LowKey

What’s the deal with 50 dancing around in large rooms with lights flashing and his shirt off???? Anyone…no…ok. Same ol generic lead off single jus like the second lp. I could have sworn he said he was going in a different direction wit his new album….guess the powers that be over at Pontiac told him to keep up the same ol bullshit or they’ll pull the super exlcusive cars from the video! Anything for a buck huh Fif??!?!?

  33. Qat

Well.. the video made the song somewhat better. WHen I first heard it I was like : “What the F@#%” lol. I do love 50 but, I don’t understand why he put out some shit like this. His mixtapes are legit.. other songs on the cds are, too. Why must the singles be so mediocre?

  34. Missteeq

*SMH*….Same Low Budget B.S. From 50 I See. I’m Mad He Took This Beat From Jim Jones “Your Majesty” Though, Don’t Know Who Had It First But I Heard Jim’s First…So. OH WELL, First Sisqo, Now This Fag Comes Back…Time For Hip Hop 2 Raise That White Flag ASAP

  35. Akilah

His body is definitely on point. Unfortunately at #25, they do be lacking in certain places but something tells me 50 be putting it down.

  36. darkaqua_30

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Getting past the struggle and being postiive. Having fun! the kind of stuff i DONT wanna hear about how good you eat the kitty or how u fuck hoes while getting shot 10000 times. Jesus man hip hop for the lose rite now. All you “niggers” love that bullcrap about guns poppin and stuff you fail to hear the original stuff…. 50= Unoriginal.

  40. Jamie

#13 I just slapped myself cause I thought he would try to come better with his generic ass

  41. @ #27

That’s all you can really expect right now. In any form of entertainment, service provided, or product marketed by; companies, corporations, artists, comedians, etc…there’s always going to be a “standard” to stick to until the wheels fall off and the barrel is scraped dry.

The consumer decides what dies fast and what lives long. The percentage of people who like the bullshit music being played now, is bigger than the percentage of people who have a brain and like substance.

It’s not the companies, labels, artists and radio stations forcing it down your throat. It’s the people who continue to support redundant subject matter and senseless unimaginative videos, that keeps this kind of music alive.

No one on this blog supports conscious hip hop, but yet they complain when it’s not on the countdown or on the radio’s top 20 playlist. You may love Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def or whoever your favorite artist is. But have you bought their album? Have you bought their ringtone? Have you requested them on the 106 & park or TRL? Companies see what’s being supported and they pump it out like a factory. One cookie cutter artists after another.

So in conclusion, blame the consumer and yourself for the state of music.

  42. lilmissyintn

    Booooooorrrrriiiiinnnnnnggggggggggg!
Go build a dam or something, and leave us alone!

  43. Ne' Ne'

    I bought “Go” ringtone btw.

  44. Thank You Caff! -claps- -side note…I swear like in January, I seen your ass in Manhattan -/end side note-

Anyways, I miss “Power of The Dollar” 50 & even “Get Rich or Die Trying” 50.

  45. Also, let’s be honest. Who really has the time to support their favorite artists or to even care about the current state of music?

If you don’t have the time to care about what songs and videos are being played more than others, you shouldn’t have time to complain.

    :-o

  46. I remember back in ’02 I used to bump the “Guess Who’s Back” mixtape.

I can’t stomach the new 50; but that vitamin water is the business.

  47. Nope..that wasn’t me. Wishful thinking, maybe? Aww, you still have a crush on me. Let’s get together for cappuccinos :-)

  48. Diva

It’s going to rain. His “protege’” Angel was NOT in THIS video. Hmmm, I wonder why?!! Dumb song, dumb video. He makes a song about what he’s working with. If I saw correctly on Get Rich or Die Tryin’ it ain’t S**T there!!!

  49. OG_Sweetz

    @ Caff

I agree with most of what you say, but you can’t speak for everyone by making that statement that no one on this blog supports conscious hip hop, because you don’t know everyone personally. I, for one, RARELY listen to the radio anymore, because the shit is sickening. Yes, I have purchased some music by all of the artists that you mentioned, and some. No, I don’t request them on TRL nor 106 & Park, because I don’t even watch that kiddy shit anymore.

I currently live in Texas, and some of THE best hip hop flows through my city, but you will probably never hear it on any of those lame shows. Why? Because it’s not mainstream, and no it’s not SCREW.

  50. Boooooooooooooo @ the song & video but his body gets two thumbs up…DAMN!

  51. @ Caff. The main thing keeping 50/G-Unit afloat is Quiz(paxed). LOL That dude buys all their shit in bulk.

Like you said though, if people cared about the state of music; talented people would be selling more. Sitting at home on your computer downloading their shit, then complaining that they flopped doesn’t do it any good. Dont think the artists don’t see this either. You have artists who have “paid their dues”, then decide to put out mediocre/garbage material & consumers eat it all up. Like SWSNBN.

  52. damn what caff wrote made since…. wtf the room is spinning, I need to get my “fferet and hand glide for an hour” lmaoooooo

seriously, everyone says music is dead, it’s lame, it’s wack, there aren’t any true ‘musicians’ anymore. yet we have real musicians that we don’t support, we’d rather get there music from limewire, rather than f.y.e. it is up to us to change it, I guess when we are actually ready to, we will.

  53. LOL Caff! You wish! But I swore it was you. Anyways, if you’re serious about that yes. Fine with me. I wanna purchase some Skillful Discharge merchandise anyways.

  55. hood_shit

I HONESTLY could not watch that whole video because it is FUCKIN FOOLISHNESS and I’m over the whole car, girl, bling situation in videos… get the FUCK OUTTA HERE YO!

  56. hmmp...

I could tell by the name of the song it was gonna be something like this. (sigh) I wish someone would do something differnt for a change. Now I know what Nas means when he says “Hip Hop is Dead”…
