You may remember a while back (and I do mean a while – this may be for the throwback CL’ers!), I posted a song by Le’Che Martin, of Making the Band 3 fame. She was a contestant that didn’t get to the finals, but she’s been working her way through the industry, writing and selling songs. Last summer, she collaborated with Rich Harrison and Rico Love with the song, “Get Away,” which was featured on the CL Summer Mixtape. I absolutely loved the song and fell immediately for Le’Che’s delivery. I was under the impression that the song was to be sold. However, when previewing the Amerie album, I noticed that the same Rich Harrison track had been recycled, and the lyrics changed. Immediately, I was turned off because I was so used to Le’Che’s version, however, that’s not to say that I didn’t think Amerie’s song wasn’t a good song… I was a little surprised, considering I remember reading somewhere that Amerie wouldn’t be working with Rich Harrison this time around – and technically, she didn’t, ’cause this track’s been done. I listened to both tracks thoroughly. I like the addition of Rico Love on the LE’Che version, but AMERIE hands down delivers it better in my opinion. Right out the gate Amerie commands the song, due in part to the fact that she really knows how to sing over a RICH Harris track–she’s had alot of experience with this guy. Le’ Che is strong as well… BUT I THINK AMERIE took this round by split decision….. 3 to 1… like MAYWEATHER
I am a big Amerie fan, but Le’Che’s version is more believeable to me. Her voice sends chills down my arms. I like Amerie’s version too but I’m in love with Le’Che’s version.
I’ve been hearing a lot about Le’Che this past year. I’m feeling Amerie, but let’s be honest the underdog is much better. People are so use to image and not talent anymore. I would rather hear Le’Che singing acapella than Amerie anyday! That’s a sign of true talent to me. My vote would have to go with Le’Che! Amerie can’t keep up.

I met Le’Che in Atlanta about a month again. She was a very humble sista. I though she was a song writer not an artist. I like both records. I got to show some love to Amerie too. I like Le’Che’s version better though. She is a beast on them vocals.
I like both versions. I do have to admit that Le’Che’s voice is “richer” and more “softer” than Amerie’s voice. Amerie sounds as if she’s trying too hard. Nevertheless, they both did an o.k. job in their own unique way.

i LOVE le’che’s version.
Being an Amerie fan since her first album from 2002, I have to say that this beat most definitely is hers. Amerie has been having this type of go-go R&B vibe since 2002 and her voice is so unique and beautiful, it makes the song come even more alive. Le’ Che sounds nice as well but like I have always said, Amerie has the most unique and different voice in R&B music and this track sounds like it was originally made for her. Amerie can so sing, not just sing but sang. She has natural raspiness in her voice that needs to be controlled at times, but she still has powerful and amazing vocals. Amerie is not only beautiful, she is also very talented. I do wish she would stop recycling tracks from rising artists because she can be original on her own.
ppl record songs everyday and they end up on someone else’s album, sometimes the song is just not right for the direction they want to go in or they didn’t use the song in a certain period and it went up for grabs, that’s just the way things go

I like both versions. VOCALLY, LE Che is better. Amerie can sing to me, she just has a unique voice. She’s so freaking adorable. Hopefully, this album is hot and it sells.
