Brandy will be the subject of an upcoming E! True Hollywood Story set to premiere June 23rd at 6pm. Former Moesha castmates and her celebrity friends, chime in on Brandy’s success and personal tragedies throughout her 14 year career. This is a must see if you’re a Brandy fan, I know imma DVR it.
Karu F. Daniels from the BV Newswire typed up some highlights from the show, and here they are.
- ‘Moesha’ co-star Sheryl Lee Ralph on the fatal car accident – “I do not believe that Brandy got up, got in her car with the intention to hit somebody.”
- ‘Moesha’ co-star Countess Vaughn on rumors of her fighting with Brandy – “What really pissed me off was because we were 15 years old, and these adults were coming in on an argument that would’ve blown over, but it didn’t because of the outside and the media.”
- Sheryl Lee Ralph on Brandy’s breakdown – “She just flat passed out. She was exhausted. She just passed out. That was it, boom.”
- Shar Jackson on tragic death of co-star Lamont Bentley in 2005 – “Losing Lamont, we’re still not through that.”
Bran is coming out w/ a CD later this year foreverbrandy.com so she’s doing just fine, but hopefully this story will enlighten people on how real she is and all the drama she’s put up with.
@ 14 I will be watching this and so will all her other countless fans. It will be interesting. Brandy is my favorite artist of all time, I hope they discuss her upcoming fall project.

I didn’t know two actors from her Moesha tv show had died in car accidents (Lamont Bentley and Merlin Santana well, Merlin was shot, but it was in a car).

I still Love me some Brandy but I would def. be watching this…it is sad to see her depressing over the car accident and not getting a break from the media… what is suppose to be more important is that a person LOSS their life..but overall I wish her more success and hopes she comes out with MORE songs cause I still bumped the Never say Never CD…
And I did not know Lamont Bentley passed WHERE WAS I?? wow thats SSSSOOO SAD

Poor Brandy, I feel sorry for her. I know it was an accident, but the question is Does his family know it was an accident? I don’t think she is the type of person who would try to cause another human being bodily harm. My prayers go out to you, pray and God will get you through this. Don’t just pray when something goes wrong, pray all the time. Pray works.

I’m glad this is airing. I for one am a Huge Brandy fan. This will do wonders for her. She is releasing new material later this year for those who think she has fallen off. I’m just hoping everything goes alright with her lawsuits.
That’s the problem with Hollywood and the music business. You can be hot, with yes people all around you. And then, bam the lights gone for a variety of reasons, no longer a cute kid, no longer wanting to play a cute kid, drugs, lack of personal and individual maturation/self development, etc.
Brandy, like many others, was the product of a machine that preseented a bubble gum goody goody image and it really was not her (think Spear Britney, XTina, and others). Just look how her and that freak-of-the-week brother turned out. What’s more troubling, their mother was their very hands on manager.
Hopefully, she’s got loot. She’s fairly young, so she still has opportunities in the business. But let’s face it, does she really have the talent above name recognition at this point? Other no talents have come along and are currently holding that spot down. Also, why don’t these people develop other skills and interests? Can she become a writer or producer, or is that just not in the cards,…yet? That’s part of “our” problem, everyone wants to be and stay in front of the mike and camera. Well, besides E! Brandy still has sold more albums than most artist has. She has money, she willbe ok. Lets just support he when she drops another album (instead of those people who can’t even sing).
I love some Brandy, she is my favorite artist of all time, so I will be watching this.
Just God be on her side and walk with her during this trial she is going through.
Altough it was hard to get over her lying. I have her last cd and it was very good. Never Say Never ìs the best.

Sup…there is some hater on here..especially the last couple of ones talking about her branching out into other fields…my response to them is ‘what r u doing?…..but I love Brandy..grew up loving her..I’m 25..I’m a dude so I really couldn’t bump Brandy’s albums from finish 2 end…but her last album was slept on..go buy it..she is just going thru a hard time now..I will always support her..so she can expecxt a sale from me…why I love Brandy…because she has her own sound…she has defintely found her own voice..if u notice she has a lot of copy cats who try to sound like her…they can’t…darkchild be trying to sell her sound…that’s when u know your hot..when peope imitate..so B keep your head up…I’m praying 4 u…I always b a fan..and haters pls stop hating..pls…cuz anybody can b a hater..step ur own game up..cut out on judgements. cuz you’ll b judged..no one exempt.

I have SO much faith in Bran. I know she can get back on track. I don’t really talk about slept on albums… but Afrodisiac was TRUELY slept on. Trust this, Bran has done good for herself… the majority of her albums have sold, Moesha syndication, hair products….. Bran def. has money in her bank account.
I LOOOOOOOVE Brandy with a passion, I grew up listening to her music. She is my legend and I REALLY REALLY REALLY want her new album before the year is up. I NEED IT!!! I loved her documentary, it just reminds me of how much she has accomplished.
