the war is ridiculous

i still cant believe that the world sits and allows this war to continue

what are they occupying Iraq for?

war is big bucks

this is sad when people suffer

I recently learned about a genocide going on in Dafur!

there are relief groups right now trying to get women and children out of Dafur bc they are being killed!!!

sad again

thanks for the link on Stepha.

I read her story and it’s very sad but i’m happy that her story is getting out to more people

this should definatly be of top priority amongst young African Amercians.

not Paris Hilton

Autism is increasing in the country and around the world.

there is so much crazyness going on

i have my own issues to deal with and i know that my experience is my own but i got this strange feeling that everyone is going through it

all we can do is pray to GOD for protection and try to love one another

easier said than done

faith is key

thanks for this post CL

i’ve been saying the same thing for a while but it seems like black people dont like to talk about the abuse that black women undergo on the daily.

it just gets over looked

the Imus situation really made people take notice to something that has been going on in our communitites for many years

black women are under attack

male priviledge is real

That is really sad about Stepha Henry? This is the first time I’ve heard of her.

It’s been two years(?)and we are still hearing about that Natalie Holloway girl that went missing in Aruba. Her mama has been on every major network talking about it. Every network has done a special report on her. But I haven’t heard them say ONE word about Stepha Henry and any other black girl that is missing!!!

I’m not saying a white woman’s life is not important…but why is it more important than a black woman’s????

The so-called “liberal” media are a bunch of prejudiced hypocrites!!!

I could give a damn about Isaiah Washington he made his bed now LIE in it. Don Imus made his bed and LAYED in it. They BOTH apologized so I don’t really care about him.

Black women are not as important as White women didn’t you guys know that? Every time a White woman or little girl ends up missing or dead everyone knows about it.Jonbenet Ramsey, that Natalie chick, Can you tell me the name of a Black women that went missing and had a high profile case?????

Bush needs to let it go THERE AREN”T ANY WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION IF YOU HAVEN”T FOUND ANY IN ALL THIS TIME.

THe gas prices are up because of BUSh and the War we get our oil from IRAN and BUSH wants to start ish with them.

CHICAGO TRANSIT AUTHORITY(CTA): Public Transportation; is going to be charing $7 dollars a ride. It was just $2 dollars. What’s with the $5 dollars jump? What really is the purpose of this post? I’m so sick of people trying to dictate what we should and should not be emphasizing when it comes down to pop/political culture.

What did Isaiah expect…a medal for his apology? Did he really expect to keep his job after making such a blurb and the whole world finding out about it? We wanted Don Imus fired, why shouldn’t Isaiah suffer the same fate? It’s his opinion yes, but job security isn’t guaranteed when you voice it.

Paris getting more attention than a missing black woman? You bet cha! She’s a household name…Stepha isn’t. Harsh reality but are we supposed to know about every single missing or exploited person in the whole USA? We cannot keep up with people missing within our own individual communities, so what makes people think we’re supposed to know who this woman is? i don’t want to sound insensitive, but give me a break. Sad situation, but not any worse than the THOUSANDS of other missing people from all demographics.

Gas prices a joke? True, but we can only blame ourselves with the supply/demand situation. Corporate greed is running rampant with the oil companies, but this is an economy based on free enterprise and if you have the market sewed up on a hot commodity, what do we expect? I see it a s a good thing, cause it’s forcing us to look twards alternative fuel sources which has the potential to stimulate economies in the future.

The space shuttle…It will be intresting to see what our government views as more valuable…human life or an expensive rickety space bus. If it can’t be repaired in space I have a feeling they’re gonna put lives at risk to save money.

The war question was a dumb one not even addressing.

The Sopranos…so what.

As for the rest, it’s sad, but what’s new?

Paris vs some unknown woman missing, black at that, what do you expect?

Isaiah, well I guess people are right, Imus got fired, Isaiah got fired, I guess the race card can’t be played this time.

The war? Shouldn’t have started to begin with, but we all know that. Staying in Iraq when they have yet to find Osama Bin Laden. And like D-SAN #10 said, what about Darfur?? Please Concreteloop, LINK TO THE PETITION TO HELP STOP the genocide of Darfur :

I’m am SO SICK of everybody talking about this hoe Paris. THIS CHICK IS SOME RANDOM HOLLYWOOD HOE WITH DICK MONEY, WHATS THE DAMN INTRIGUE?!!

This is why America gets BLOWN THE FUCK UP. Because America worships hoes - white hoes who wasn’t spending their life doing anything any damn way instead of REAL ISSUES HERE. We rather follow around white chicks that snort up drugs and has sex as a job. Damn, lets spend our whole time trying to get shots of this blonde bimbo going to jail - whoopie!

One thing to report she’s going to jail - but it’s like a damn world wind and I’m so damn sick of it. I want NBC to call me up for an interview so I can cuss the media out.

#23 needs to calm down. If u dont think this post deserves any attention, then please, dont waste your time or pour ur energy into something you dont give a damn about.

Anyway, I just feel like the world is spiraling out of control, and that each year it just gets worse and worse and its gonna continue to get worse as global warming, natural disasters, and the PEOPLE of the world get worse.

The media is god-AWFUL. They’re almost at their peak. Look at how they influence us! Our politics are out of control. Political Correctness has taken a turn for the worse. Its like people are taking advantage of the freedoms we have and are putting their own spin to it. Whatever happend to morality? And now global warming? The world needs to just go green b/c we’re hurting ourselves dealing with what the market provides for us.

If something doesnt change for the better anytime soon, we’re just gonna have to face the fact that we’re all screwed.

The missing woman story…I hope it doesn’t end in tragedy. The media will always give more coverage when white women go missing as they feel that’s what the the viewing public will identify and empathize with. Black women just aren’t important enough to be on front pages and news stations. Sad, but that’s the way it works.

oh my goodness! I keep up well with the news, but i must admit that since most news coverage starts and ends with Paris, I have been flipping the swicth lately. It is a DAMN shame that noone really knows about Stepha Henry! I am ashamed to say that I did not know - so thanks concreteloop for the scoop. In the article, the man said that he was dismissed for Paris coverage!!! about what??? her crying in the backseat of the car? or what she ate or read??? it’s pure BS. Now about the war, many are saying that the news is bombarding us with all this Paris coverage because there is an immigration bill that bush is slowly and secretly trying to pass - the Paris coverage takes away from this. The world we live in is truly something else. I become so sick when I see and read all these petty things that receive more attention than the important ones. It’s sad, but many people would rather be oblivious and not face reality and see/hear the harsh truths. We really need to wake up people and prioritize. Things won’t change unless we take a stand…

I completely agree about the over-saturation of bogus news stories…My friends & I call it the GRAND DIVERSION. Bombard us with all the crap so we don’t know what’s really going on. Once the smoke clears all sorts of things would have happened right under our noses.

Anyway, in these last days we have to be careful about getting our “news” from the mainstream media. Well I guess we always had to be careful about that.

56.

Mr. UrfavoriteATLien

Sunday, June 10, 2007 /

Prince - This guy definitely hasn’t aged that much.

DUBYA Bush - I’m glad he will leave the white house.. He has been a joke.

Gas Prices - We should be flying like the Jetsons, not driving gas guzzlers!!.. But on a serious note, part of it is basic economics (Supply and demand) and the other part is politics.. If they wanted to, they can cap the prices at a certain amount, force the car industry to change from oil to alternative fueled cars, and/or use our oil reserves; which we haven’t touched in years.

Paris - She’s not a celebrity. She’s just a spoiled, rich, beeyatch… Personally, I wish they could lock her up for at least a year. That way I don’t have to hear about her crap.. They also need to lock up Lindsay Lohan, Kim Kadashian, Nicole Ritchie, and all those other non-celebrities.

Tony Soprano - He’ll get shot up or go into witness protection and hide in the west coast.. I’m sure the DVD sales when they come out will go through the roof..They’ll make $100 million with no problem.

JUDAH

Sunday, June 10, 2007 /

In regards to the Stepha Henry story, I saw that in the NYPost the other day. I don’t understand. Is the media supposed to cover Paris Hilton the same as they cover the disappearance of a black woman? It’s 2007 and black people still don’t get it. Black people are like the person that doesn’t understand that they’re being rejected no matter how many times they get rejected, lol.

I’ve never understood the infatuation of this generation of black people with Italian mobsters. I guess it started with Wu Tang and them naming their alter-egoes after Italians, probably because they’re too ignorant to at least be ignorant enough to name themselves after black mobsters. The Italians can’t stand blacks, especially the mafia, who purposely sell drugs to blacks to help destroy the black community.

Isaiah Washington is angry because he’s embarassed that he allowed himself to get caught out there. America in 2007 is dominated by an effeminate, if not outright feminine, emotional mentality. There is no room for a person to say anything offensive in this land of “free speech”. Particularly if it offends the white man’s sensibilities. Hollywood was founded by and is still maintained by sexually deviant white jews. What did he expect was going to happen? Most black women (i.e. the show’s creator) do not have a problem with homosexuality, (in fact many endorse and encourage it) so you know they’re gonna bite their tongues on an issue like this. The white woman is going to stand by the white man’s side so you know he wasn’t going to get help from the co-stars. I’m sure that despite the apathy they showed for the issue on camera, ALL the cast members were pro-active in desiring his termination. I know they pulled that old bullshit line of, “I just don’t feel comfortable around him….” that the other races like to pull when a black man shows that he has a backbone. The end of it all is that it’s a wrap for the brother’s career. Oh well, he should’ve used prudence (Prov 22:3). Either that, or go out like a soldier. He’s been a black man for over 40 years. He should know that black people are not going to have his back on an issue like this. They’re scared and cowardly. That’s just the men.

JUDAH

The issue on gas prices and the “war” (Muslim genocide) in Iraq are interrelated in my opinion. The people who run America have an “it’s for your own good mentality” in regards to the American citizens. They know that the people here in America like lies and they like their leaders to be good liars (i.e. John F. Kennedy, Bill Clinton). When the leader of America is a bad liar (i.e. the Bushes) it exposes how evil, greedy, self-absorbed, and vain all of America is….including the citizens. That’s why Americans don’t like Bush. He makes them look bad. Bush cannot come on TV and tell the citizens, “We need to invade the Middle East because we’re depleted of natural resources. We must kill whoever we need to kill to insure the continued dominance of America and our ‘European allies’ (i.e. the white man).” The average American would lose their mind because the citizens of America want to view this land as a place of righteousness, virtue, and freedoms. Thusly, the leaders must lie and must maintain their lies. The people in and of this land are so aversed to the truth that when they hear it, they get defensive, emotional, and violent.

No disrespect to anyone who has family over there, but unless it be the will of the Lord, your family member is not coming home. That war is leading up to WWIII, a great final confrontation between nations that will eventually lead to mankind’s confrontation AGAINST Christ and the angelic forces (Rev 19:10-21)

Everyone in America knew that America was going abroad to kill, rape, and pillage the natural resources of Iraq, Afghanistan (and eventually Iran, Venezuala, and the Sudan for all you “Darfurheads” out there) for the benefit of America. They had to envelope that with the bullshit about “al qaeda” and “Saddam” and all this other madness. Wake up people, these James Bond villians that they show on CNN to instill fear in the average dumb American are CIA, MI5, or Israeli Mossad provocateurs in costume. You really believe that they “can’t find Osama Bin Laden”? Lol. They have satellites that can see you eating dinner but they can’t locate a 6′5″ Arab with a kidney dialysis machine on a donkey. They want to destabilize the Muslim world because it’s the only thing standing between them and their plans for the world’s people. The white jews want that land all to themselves so they will do anything to instigate conflict and cause confusion there.

#36 needs to sit back and zip your lips.

This blog is about celebrities and bullshit…period! The creators of CL makes themselves look retarded to start criticizing it’s members for discussing Paris over Ms. Henry. What they really boils down to is they don’t want to cover it cause she’s WHITE & PRIVILIGED. Well, what about all these BLACK & PRIVILIGED people you report about 24/7? Can we say double standard or what.

If you want to pretend you’re Ed Bradley or Carol Simpson from 60 Minutes and are giving an accurate depiction of what’s going on in the world then change the blog to reflect that, but don’t get all high and mighty when 95% of what’s discussed here is trivial from the jump.

I think it’s good when the creators of the site spice things up with some serious topics. What’s wrong with that? Why do you think think it’s bad that they’re hesitant to make a post about Paris Hilton? I thought that this was a black entertainment website. Some of you negroes are going off the deep end with your political correctness. I bet you mix your salt with your pepper so that your food can taste integrated. BTW, who the hell says that 60 minutes or CNN is anymore factually accurate than an entertainment show or website?

Who In Da Hell Left Da Gate Open?

Sunday, June 10, 2007 /

Sorry for the extended post, but here goes….

Fuk Bush! He got to where he is because of pure nepotisim & help from the Skull & Bones fraternity.

Fuk Paris! She got to where she is because of her dead azz granpappy.

Fuk Issaih (sp)! He’s a Z list actor who was unappreciative of a golden opportunity, played the race card, threatened the integrity of a show created by Shondra Rhimes (sp), and has no one to blame for his loss but himself. He was not an integral part of the show, can easily be replaced and no one was obligated to re-up his contract if they didn’t want to… That’s why it’s called a contract. He’s a spiteful, hateful undercover (in his own words) faggot. And the only reason he outed T.R. Knight is because he didn’t want to be outed first.

Gas prices are only going to get higher, we just have to deal with it. I think gas hikes always seem to occur around the time of war/ civil unrest. They went up around the time of the Vietnam War, Desert Storm etc.

In my opinion there are only 3 ways to end this war… 1) Wait it out and hope we haven’t killed everything in sight and do our best to move forward and pick up the pieces of what’s left. 2) Impeach Bush and make it mandatory that children of politicians serve first. In England, children of royalty fight in battles. To them it’s a privilage. You want this war to be over quick, fast and in a hurry; tell Bush his daughters Segram’s and Gin have to be shipped over to Iraq and see how fast he pulls those troops outta there. No American president wants to see his child on the front line. The only reason Bush was in such a rush to start a war is because it’s your children over there dying, not his. His kids have a privliged lifestyle, a free education and all their limbs are in tact. It’s easier to justify an unjust war when it’s not your child being eulogized. Or 3) Register to vote and make a difference in ‘08.

Other issues on my mind are…….

I wish people would leave Brandy alone. She generally seems sorry and is trying to make amends.

I wish there were more African-Americans and less Negroes.

I would go to church more if I genuinally (sp) believed the people on the pulpit preaching were saved themselves.

When will survivors of Hurricane Katrina be allowed to rebuild?

Why is Kim K. relevant?
Why do so many Black men shower her with admiration, but treat Black women who are HIV negative, single, have no kids, but have a job, home and a college degree like myself with such putrid hateness? Should I be putting out?

Why don’t women choose the father of their kids more seriously?

Why aren’t people exercising gun control more?

Why are teachers so underpaid?

Why are we allowing rappers to raise our kids when they exercise such poor taste in their own character?

Why is Noah’s Arc being cancelled when I so much liked that show?

Can anyone believe Prince is 49?

Why does it seem like I need 2 jobs to pay my bills?

When is my writing career going to take off?

Why do so many of us not appreciate African-Americans who use good diction and insist on calling us sellouts?

Why don’t we seem to support each other?

Where is the love?

Judah…

I think it’s good to bring attention to serious topics too, but people get all preachy when these items aren’t discussed on a regular. And yes, this site’s primary focus is on black entertainment, but it’s also about what blacks are discussing and we do discuss Paris and some blacks watched her show (i don’t see why, but whatever). It has nothing to do with being politically correct or your sorry ass analogy when trying to discuss me, but rather the creators of CL ginving it’s members what they wanted. They wanted to vent on the dumb whore and so far 300+ people have done so. Case closed.

They did talk about the winner of AI BTW ( a lot of posters felt that she wasn’t Black enough, cuz she is mixed “roll eyes”) I guess Obama isn’t Black enough either (for us to vote for him or A keys). My parents taught me that if you are half black, there isn’t any half your tail is Black.
