“FANCY” COVERS THE AUGUST ISSUE OF PLAYBOY

Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, 40, best known for playing Fancy on the Jamie Foxx Show, is the cover model for the August issue of Playboy.
Earlier last week she announced that she was pregnant with twins, and even showed up at a couple of events with her new bump. I know she happy she got that cover in before that baby weight starts kicking in. She looks great!

I’m just surprised that they are putting a black woman on the cover of a mag owned by a white man that is obsessed with white blondes only. The image of beauty is still centralized around old school stereotypes and prejudice. I’m glad more publications are finally realizing beauty is not the cookie cutter white girl look that’s usually plastered everywhere.
