FOXY SAYS IT WASN’T HER
I’m sure you all heard about Foxy Brown getting beat down and jacked for her purse Saturday in Brooklyn. Well now the rapper is claiming it wasn’t her, even though police reports say otherwise.
She told the the New York Post that the robbery never happened, and that she hadn’t been at the location police gave, near a public housing complex.
”A lot of the time, people mistake me for someone else, or people always call in these false tips,” Brown told the newspaper outside her Brooklyn brownstone Saturday.
Damn, nobody had a camera phone out there! This would have been classic.
T.I.P. vs CHAKA ZULU
T.I. reportedly attacked Ludacris’ manager Chaka Zulu in LA at the Kevin Liles Power Brunch yesterday. According to MTV News, the rapper punched Zulu right in the face.
…but on Sunday afternoon (June 24) at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood, California, T.I. was involved in a brawl nonetheless. During a luncheon held by Kevin Liles of Warner Music Group (parent company of T.I.’s label, Atlantic Records), the MC got into a fight with Ludacris’ manager Chaka Zulu. According to witnesses, T.I. punched Zulu in the face and a small, brief melee ensued.

JAY-Z UPSET W/ LARRY JOHNSON FOR APPEARING IN FANTASIA VIDEO
Am I the only one who didn’t know Jay-Z was roommates with the fine-ass Larry Johnson? I guess I was out of the “loop” on that one. Anyway, Larry was recently interviewed Kanascity.com and talked about how Jay-Z was mad he appeared in the new Fantasia video. I don’t understand why though. Read below:
Question: Explain your relationship with rapper Jay-Z.
Johnson: “A lot of people don’t know that goes beyond me just wearing his clothes. I could switch to Nike tomorrow and Jay would be completely cool with it. There are only a couple of athletes Jay-Z was cool enough to let in his little small circle of people that he calls friends. It’s me, LeBron and that’s about it. It’s a real tight group. It goes beyond me just wearing clothes. We’ve become friends now. If I wanted to do Nike or Reebok or anything else, he would have input, but he would never say ‘OK, I can’t (mess) with you no more because of that.’ He’s never been that way. We just happened to hit it off.”
Question: Is Jay-Z a mentor, someone who shapes your view on how to conduct business?
Johnson: “He definitely did that. Between me and you, he definitely didn’t want me to do that Fantasia video. I definitely got cussed out for that one. He told me there were a lot of things he wanted to do, but he couldn’t do them. He said, ‘You gotta be able to look at yourself as a business, as stock, and the less things you do, the more people will have interest in you. The $25,000 a month in child support and household expenses that rapper 50 Cent pays to the mother of his 10-year-old son is not enough, says the boy’s mother, Shaniqua Tompkins.
The rapper is ”worth tens and tens of millions of dollars,” said her attorney, Raoul Felder.
His lawyer, Brett Kimmel, called Tompkins ”insatiable.”
”Her demands keep escalating,” he told the Daily News.
Closed-door hearings on the child-support case are scheduled to continue this coming week.

I was saying that Larry being in the video would have been PLAYED up more. Because it was definitely a good look, the video is hot and Fantasia is doing her thing and getting the credit she deserves esp.on broadway. I think they were glad somebody asked him to be in a video - But a lot of people didn’t know Larry Johnson was in the video or who he was — my point was, they would have played that up to his benefit.
And quiet as it’s kept, when you are on an endorsement deal, the manager [Jay-Z] does have a lot to say about what you do and who you can do it with. It’s in the contract, these people need to make sure they ain’t selling their souls to the devil BEFORE they cash the check.
