Meet Nya Jade – a San Francisco-based singer/songwriter who has already drawn critical acclaim throughout the Bay Area for her unique music and sound. Born in the West African country of Ghana and raised around the world, this Stanford graduate and entrepreneur created her own record label to do music her way. The duality of working as both artist and record label head has made her an exciting person to watch in the ever changing landscape of the music industry. Serving as a pre-med student until a life changing car-accident, Nya channeled pain and suffering into a determination to follow a dream. Also quite the humanitarian, Nya recently announced the launch of the NYA Foundation which benefits African youth with HIV/AIDS.
Nya’s first single “Live” off her debut album “My Denial” has been gaining alot of attention with the premiere of her video on VH1 Soul. Nya has most recently been touring with acts such as Corrine Bailey Rae, Maroon 5, and the Dave Matthews Band.
