yeah this looks like it is going to be a real good movie. I’m pretty sure that they are not going to make frank lucas out to be a hero. It looks like an old school gangster flick like the godfather, casino, or hoodlum. If they true to his real story in the end it didnt turn out so good for him.

Reading those excerps from the Nicky Barnes autobiography that Myra Panache publishes on her website has made me look forward to seeing Denzel play the character of Frank Lucas. It really looks very interesting. And of course I wanna see how Common will fare this time, after his appearance in Smokin’ Aces.

If D-Washington is in it, i’m gonna see it cuz king kong ain’t got shit on him. Also, there are a lot of young male black actors that need roles, why the hell they keep going to rappers, i mean t.i. and common are aight, but come on fam, they haven’t paid acting dues to be in a role wit Denzel. I can’t even name three popular young male black celebs, who just act and dats a shame.

Damn… everybody and they momma is up in this movie! Even Ruby Dee and T.I.! Looks like a must-see to me. Interesting to see Denzel and Russell Crowe working together again, I remember Crowe not being too pleased when he lost to Denzel for Best Actor a couple of years back.

I’ve been waiting like a year for this movie. It’s gonna be bananas! When I first heard about it I looked up Frank Lucas because I had never heard of him before. Dude was a straight up gangsta. He was so big that he had rank over mob families. He was making a million dollars in a day. His drug transporting game was unheard of. He was a very smart dude. His wife was Miss Puerto Rico. If any of you have seen the Ali frazier 1975 fight he’s right there on the side wearing a fresh ass white fur jacket with his wife. I think its on youtube. They say he was very low key until his wife told him to get more flashy…TI is a decent actor. He was kinda bad in ATL but it was his first film. That little clip was better! lol I’ve never seen Common act before so I don’t know. I feel that if you have the talent so be it. so what if you’re a rapper. just respect the craft.

This Movie that Denzel Directs and stars in with Forest Whitaker. Is about a Black Debate team that goes up against a White Harvard Debate team, Denzel is the coach. Based on a true story. It seems like a typical insprational sports movie, but I like the debating twist , that’s cool.
