They were the ish back in the day, especially with their album Heartbreak….Im glad to see there back with a hot single!

BTW, I like this song…Ashanti sounds good.

I absolutely love Jagged Edge, since “Gotta Be” I’ve been hooked. Although I was disappointed in their last CD, I’m glad they are coming back with something new. This song is okay, I know it’ll grow on me after a couple of more listens……..

I still like JE….they are one of the only R&B groups still together!!!! I used to LOVE “Gotta Be” but they never played it on the radio out here in L.A. If it weren’t for BET Midnight love (It aired @ 9:00 pm on the westcoast) playing the video, I would have never heard that song and most of the people out here have NO FUCKIN’ CLUE what I am talkin’ bout when I mention it!!!

Now I’m mad cuz after 3 minutes of JE repeating the same chourus i got less than a minute of Ashanti singin. Ain’t this sum shit…I want 2 hear Ashanti sing.

I am a huge fan of JE since the their debut and still listen to their remake of “Wednesday Lover”. Classic remake! The twins have very distinctive voices and just a sexiness about them. However, Ashanti can fall off the face of the earth. She did absolutely nothing for this song. Hell, I coulda done that. I actually like the song, minus Ashanti. No singing heffa.

I’m not a JE fan. All their songs sound exactly the same… “My woman left me, why don’t you love me, She cheated on me, I’m goin buy you a range, blah, blah”. I remember when my college roommate used to play their CD’s all the DAMN TIME, (drove me insane).

This song sucks to the 10th power!! Ashanti is wack and JE is good but they are played out. All of their material sounds the same. I’m not for sure if it is because they write their own material or what. Jagged Edge is one of my best male groups of all times and I’m a fan but the day and time of Jagged Edge have come to an end. No one seems interested in them anymore. They are incredible singers. Just like Jaheim. That Jaheim can sing and I really like his music but no one is really caring about him any longer. Society is soooo fucked up because these average singer pretty boys and girls get more appreciation then the really talented singers. Society cares more about looks then music. THIS IS VERY VERY SAD!!!!

I don’t pay much attention to Ashanti’s vocal’s b/c like you stated she is not the only person with a deal who can’t sing so why single her out, but to say that Beyonce is a better vocalist b/c she had a trainer and she is more established is a little much (not even a huge Beyonce fan).

Last time I check Ashanti signed to Jive at 14 yrs old in 1994 while Destiny Child signed to Columbia in 1996 so they had about the same amount ( Ashanti having a little more by 2yrs) industry time. Don’t blame Ashanti’s lack of talent on experience b/c she has been doing this professionaly for about 13yrs.

Do you think in all of Ashanti’s free time she took voice lessons? Maybe she trained her voice not to sound as whiny as it did back in the day.

Love JE and loved their cds JE Heartbreak and Jagged Little Thrill and a lot of other people too cause everybody sung “Where The Party At” until they couldn’t find a damn party. So hate if you must but they all can actually sing whereas the other groups got one singer singing lead and the background vocals.
