One of R&B’s most slept on songbirds is back on the scene with a brand new song, which is surprisingly a duet (although I’m not positive who the male vocalist is – it sounds slightly like Trey Songz at times). Teedra Moses has been one of my favorite artists since late 2003, when her material from her masterful first album Complex Simplicity began to leak on the internet. It’s been circulating for a while that Teedra is set to release her sophomore album, Young Lioness sometime this year on TVT Records. It’s been a long time coming, so I hope this new song means something. I absolutely love the use of the sample, and Teedra’s voice just sounds as clear as crystal riding the track.

It’s cute, nice sample of Marvin Gaye but really not strong enough for a comeback. I really don’t think this is Trey Songz. Lord knows I’ve been waiting for “Young Lioness” to come out since forever, I really can’t wait.

I have seen her in several hair magazines but I have never heard a single of her’s. And it’s always the same promo picture. I did however pick up Goapele’s new album. Loves it!

In a world where there are so many fluffy voices, she gives us an escape from the foolishness (even though I do fall into the trap at times). & I’m sorry but shame on whoever thought the male voice on this song belonged to Trey Songz!! Shame on your ears; you might wanna get em checked b/c that’s not safe…..
