It is also important to remember that the judge was mostly annoyed with the way Paris and her family blatatly disrespected law enforcement officials and honorable judges as well as attorneys. The first thing she continously did was violate probation, and she never even enrolled in the classes. Instead she said, “It’s not that serious.” But, DUI is serious. She kicks, screams and acts a fool, not good behavior. She is 26 years old, not a child, almost 30. Most people her age have done things like gotten a real job, started a family, or finished school. Paris has done non of this, so can we stop acting like she is a child? What was this judge supposed to do, continue to make him look like a fool??

The sheriff, and MANY lawyers and law experts have said that anyone/eveeryone else with a similar situation would have served either house arrest or 3-4 days of the sentence. The judge is obviously being harsher on her because of her status. After the sheriff released her on house arrest, the judge should have punished the SHERIFF and not Paris, because if I’m not mistaken, she didn’t let herself out of jail.

And since when did what someone says racially or in a defamatory way influence how they’re sentenced or convicted? (I am in NO WAY condoning her racist/evil remarks.) Regardless if she didn’t cause an accident or killed anyone she needs to go to jail.

For the people who keep saying it’s not fair it is. If the judge couldn’t have given her that sentences he wouldn’t have. Maybe he is making an example of her, who cares somebody has to be made am example of… rather it be her or some poor/middle class person. The point is DUI’s are out of control here (CA) and something has to be done. 40 days is not going to kill her, people due 25 years for crimes they didn’t commit and they aint acting as dramatic as she is.

Vivica Fox, Eve, Shamar Moore, Nicole Richie, Lindsey Lohan are all celebs putting innocent people in danger when they drink and drive. Vivica, Eve and Shamar might not get it as bad, because I believe this is there first DUI charge in LA county, but Nicole and Lindsey have had more than enough chances so I say the same punishments fits them.

As a matter of fact, Lindsey got pulled over last saturday June 2 for driving under the influence, and the found cocain in the glove capartment of her car guess what she was cited and givin a notice to appear no arrest not even her car towed. So yes celebs get special treatment and everybody is fed up with it.

I HAD 3 FRIENDS HIT BY DRUNK DRIVING MOTHAFUKkERS:

AGES 19 (driving home from college for break),
21, and 26

….all on 3 different occasions within 2 years.
….all of them were pedestrians. not driving…not intoxicated.

ONLY 1 OF THEM (26 y/o) IS STILL LIVING TODAY.

the drunk man who hit my friend who is still living…was the only one ever caught by the police.

so i say justice is served on paris’ part.
