ISAIAH WASHINGTON FIRED FROM GREY’S ANATOMY
Like this is a surprise to anyone. The official word about Isaiah Washington and his fate with ABC was announced yesterday. Word is his contract was not renewed and he was let go.
Howard Bragman, Washington’s publicist, released this statement from the actor:
“I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it any more.”
One could only imagine what he means by that. The cast was notified Thursday night of the final decision, which, says a source close to the situation, was a long time coming. In the end, the source says, Washington’s behavior made him a liability [READ MORE @ PEOPLE].

If you’re like me, then you didn’t know Ne-Yo stepped up and decided to take care of his ex-girlfriend’s child. The singer volunteered to be the father of a baby boy an ex-girlfriend conceived with another man when the biological dad failed to stick around.
The kind-hearted star, 24, is no longer romantically involved with baby Chimere’s mother but is determined the child will grow up with a father figure.
He says,
“My son is not biologically mine, but he’s had no father but me since the day he was born.”
Ne-yo just got all his cool points back for this. I thought they were all gone after that fish picture. LMAO!

I know you all saw that video of Akon throwing some kid into a crowd earlier this week. This happened right on the heels of another incident at one his concerts (need I say more?)
Anyway, Akon’s attorney released a statement proclaiming the singer’s innocence in the bizarre episode, caught on fans’ cell-phone cameras, in which Akon appears to grab a fan brought up on stage by security and hurl the boy into the crowd.
“Given the information that we have reviewed to date, it does not appear to us that Akon was involved in any criminal conduct whatsoever,” read a statement from Akon’s attorney, Benjamin Brafman. “We are prepared to fully cooperate with any law enforcement agency that may be investigating this incident. We are confident that after a thorough investigation it will be apparent that no criminal prosecution of Akon is warranted.’ [SOURCE]

People were calling for Imus’ head when he made those comments about the Rutgers team. He was fired real quick after those comments were made. Why shouldn’t Isiah be fired for calling someone a faggot? It’s just as offensive as “nappy headed hoe,” don’t you think? He deserved to be fired. Or because he’s a black man he has free reign to say offensive things about anyone and if he gets called on it then it’s time to play the race card? There should be no double standard.
As for Ne-Yo, he should be commended. Not many men want to take responsibility for their own children. He’s taking vowing to ensure the welfare of a child that is not biologically his. He’s just unofficially adopting this child. I hope that he means this and continue to see this throughout the child’s life.

What can I say? I remember last year HOUSE OF PAYNE aired ten episodes in only ten markets. And when the first shows aired I got a lot of messages on the message board saying what they liked and didn’t like. I remember sending an email asking those who didn’t like the show to be patient with it and just watch. Well by the last of the ten episodes a lot of you who had reservations about the show were in love with it. You may remember that
The same is true here. It’s very hard to do a sitcom because you have to set up the characters and get people involved in them and that takes time. It’s hard to explain and develop characters especially when you only have 22 minutes in an episode. It’s much easier in plays and in movies where I have hours. So, with all of that said I want to assure you that you have not seen the best of HOUSE OF PAYNE.
I don’t even care about the Isaiah thing anymore. I stopped watching the show like 4 months ago. It hasn’t been good for a while. It’s just resting on laurels from the first season. Whatever. If TR Knight called him a n—–, I’m sure black people and allies would want TR fired just like gay people and gay allies want Isaiah fired. Rules for hate speech apply to everyone.
Wow. I’m very impressed by Ne-yo. Few young men would be doing that and it’s good that the kid has a male figure around.
