In her latest ploy for media attention, Robin Givens tells Essence Mag that she still loves Mike and that they should have never gotten married:
Givens ran into her ex at the premiere of Get Rich or Die Tryin� at the famous Mann�s Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles. “He hugged me and said, ‘I’m sorry and I wish you only the best.’ And I thought, Wow,” she says. Hindsight is 20/20 for Givens; she now admits she and Tyson should never have gotten married. But then she adds, “I love him. We�re still bonded in ways. I thought I failed Michael. Am I the only one who didn’t know Steve was going on his 3rd marriage? Word is he is getting married to his boo, Marjorie Bridges (pictured above) real soon. He was at a recent event showing her off and telling everyone she was his fiance. How cute! His last divorce was finalized in 2005, let’s hope this relationship makes it!

It seems as if in Robin’s quote she’s trying to justify the fact that Mike was abusive. I understand that she might still have feelings for him, if that ws her first love or whatever, but saying “i failed him”, doesn’t make up for the fact that he put his hands on her. Mike obviously had some mental problems (or still does) that he needs to work through. It would be a shame if these two got back together. Robin needs to try to upgrade her Z list acting career and stop living in the past. SMH.
