Tameka Foster is finally speaking out about her relationship with Usher and Essence Magazine got the exclusive for you. The two have been very popular in the black gossip blog circuit since late 2005. Rumors have been flying around and I’m sure you’ve heard them all.
The 35 year-old cleared some air on a lot of things, but I’m just going to post the good shit.
ON THE GOSSIP.
Essence.com: Bloggers worldwide have criticized your relationship with Usher. You haven’t responded until now. Why?
Tameka Foster: Friends tell me about some of it and we’ll laugh, but honestly, I don’t pay attention to the gossip on the day-to-day. However, things have been said about my ex-husband and about me and my relationship with Usher’s mom among other things, that I would like to clear up. I am not speaking because I feel the need to validate our relationship. We’re good.
USHER ISN’T A HOMEWRECKER
Essence.com: So Usher is not a home wrecker, as the tabloids suggested?
T.F.: Absolutely not. He was on tour when my marriage was officially over. He had nothing to do with what happened between my husband and me. Between my hectic travel schedule and our personality differences, my ex and I grew apart. There are no hard feelings between us. He is a wonderful father. I don’t have any regrets or anger toward him. We have great, smart, well-rounded children. It’s the media that wants to make it appear as if we have this big nasty beef with each other, and we don’t.
IS SHE PREGNANT?
Essence.com: Okay. Well, are you pregnant with Usher’s child?
T.F.: Yes, I do plan to have children with Usher. This is the man I love and plan to spend the rest of my life with so why wouldn’t I want to share that bond of bringing another life into this world with him.
ON HER RELATIONSHIP W/ USHER’S MAMA
Essence.com: Shifting gears a bit, is it true that Usher’s mom fired you as his stylist and you in turn convinced Usher to fire her as his manager?
T.F.: I never worked for Usher’s mom; I worked for Usher. Now, I don’t know if she persuaded him to feel certain ways about me, but she never fired me.
Essence.com: So does that mean you and future mother-in-law have beef?
T.F.: No, we do not. Any mother with a son as successful as Usher is going to have raised eyebrows about any woman who comes around. I’d be the same way about any one of my sons. His mother and I have a great rapport. There are no hard feelings and I had nothing to do with his decision to no longer have his mother manage him.

so.. is she pregnant or not? that was a cloudy answer to me
She answered “yes” to the question of whether or not she was pregnant, but then said she does “intend” to have kids with him. So is she pregnant or not? Her answer wasn’t very clear.
Yawn…..
She still hasn’t answered the question, of being pregnant or not. I don’t like saying negative things about people, but I don’t believe this person is capable of having child(if you know what I mean).
Love the new layout. Usher is a lucky man, and smart man. He realizes that a younger women was not worth the time & drama, he wanted someone that would fill his mother shoes, it’s time to let momma go. He’s a man now. Usher’s mom has raised him well, and we can understand her concern. But he has to live life the way he wants and what ever happens will happen, PRAY -GOD will watch over him. Money can be replaced but TRUE LOVE is hard to find. Let’s hope Tameka LOVES him for USHER not for his money. Congrats to Usher and Tameka. I wish you well. God Bless you all….
Good that she cleared all that up. We can’t judge by what we see and hear, cause we don’t know a damn thing. As for her and Usher’s mother, I believe her, cause believe it or not, the media loves to put women against each other and are quick to label them “crazy”, “manipulative” and “competitive”, only because it’s more believable (when all those behaviors don’t even depend on gender) and makes a good story to sell. We had no evidence of all those accusations. As for her kids, I ALWAYS thought she wanted to protect them from the public.
And I’m tired of folks saying that she’s not pretty enough for Usher, first off, she’s the “good looking one” in the relationship. Second, looks aren’t everything. You can’t spend your time getting caught up in somebody’s outter beauty cause IT FADES! If they’re gorgeous, good, if they’re not, so what? As long as they’re beautiful inside. I just hope it works out for them and that Usher really matured as a man.
I read both parts on Essence earlier & I can’t shake the feeling that THEY WON’T last! This is sooo temporary UsherPoo doesn’t really want her I REFUSE 2 believe it lol~
I think its funny that some people feel it necessary to clear the air.. I mean, who really gives one what people who don’t matter think about you???
People will continue to talk and make up stories, is she gonna continue to come out and clear up the questions?? I say continue on with your life and don’t worry about what folks have to say. As long as you live people will talk. LET THEM!

I’m wit her…there are plenty that wish they were in her shoes…and she said she isn’t perfect and he loves her for her. That’s a good thing…and that 11.5 carat rock she got! (I want the ring!)
If they last, they last…if they don’t, they don’t. Sometimes u are LUCKY to even get 5 minutes of love and happiness in your life.

Love the new layout! Easier to read! Easy on the I’z. Usher is famous and he is subject to ridicule and gossip just as any of the others. It’s good that she kind of cleared the air. The gossip on this so far, is pretty juicy though and I can see why people continue to speculate.
I truly hope that his mom will still be supportive since she was the one who made him who he is today…not the MILF

I heard her try to diss wendy williams. As a faithful listener, I remember the day that she came on Wendy Williams show. She came there under the pretense that she was gonna diss Usher and then she stepped up to the mic and got scarred. She actually asked to be on the show specifically to diss him. I remember the show and heard the whole exchange. Now she’s complaining that people are gossiping about ner. No. We all just remember that a few years agos before you were Usher’s girl, you were his “stylist” who went on the radio to try and diss him!!

I read Part 1 & 2 of the interview on Essence.com. Never until now did I think Usher was really in love with this chick. But after reading all the things she said about the way he treats her, there’s no doubt that he genuienly loves her and that’s a beautiful thing.
I just don’t understand how, when asked if she’s pregnate in Part 1, she says Usher is who she plans to spend the rest of her life with. But at the end of Part 2 she says something like she’s not saying they’ll be together forever….sounds a lil contridictory to me.
Good on her. She responded to the questions in a very mature manner and if you notice the subtleties she emplys when discussing the issue of her future mother-in-law. Not even saying Usher fired her ass lol! I have new found respect for this woman and I have slowly come to accept that I won’t ever become Mrs.Lashonda Raymond so don’t hate. She doing her thang so go head mama.
But i still think she too old for my bu, and her figure is still too manish. But she has a lovely pair of breasts though (no lesbo)

I’m glad that she has come forward to address some of the stories that have been circulating about her. As I expected, her version is totally different than almost everything that has been said.
I hope that there are no problems with her and Usher’s mom, and I hope her children are OK through all of this — and if that’s the case, the best to them and their family.

i’m like the some of the other posts. If the relationship lasts, then cool! This subject has made for some serious coffee table and beauty shop gossip and that’s what that is.
Frankly, if Usher has found something in her that completes him then so be it. But, my thing is, sometimes when you jump out of a marriage straight into a new relationship, y ou are not always giving yourself time to grieve the previous relationship.
