THE NEW MUSIC REVIEW

Chamillionaire feat. Slick Rick – Hip Hop Police (full) – download
I tried really hard to like this song, but it just really got on my nerves while hearing it. This track, coming from Chamillionaire’s next album “Ultimate Victory.” It honestly just became background music for me. I just couldn’t really get into it. I think I might have to just give it another try when I’m in a better mood.

Olivia feat. Missy Elliott – Cherry Pop (full) – download
I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it. But then again, I don’t think that you can go wrong with popular samples most of the time. This song kind of reminds me of Keyshia Cole’s new song. I think it’s because of the use of Missy Elliott and a very influential sample. But I could have sworn that Olivia had been dropped from G-Unit after the failure of her single, and the shelved “Behind Close Doors” album.

Freeway feat. Jay-Z – Big Spender (full) – download
Another sample that the rap game’s familiar with, but I think that took a very different approach. It gets a little confusing to me at some points, but I think that people will fall for this for the simple fact that these days, it seems like anything that Jay-Z is touching turns to gold. Freeway’s flow definitely goes hard though, I can definitely see myself getting it to this in the club.

One Chance – One Chance (full rip) – download
This sounds like a typical Corner Boyz production. I’m not particularly fond of this song for One Chance, and I have randomly like most of their material. I don’t really dig the whole thing at all, ’cause it’s like… it just seems like this song justified the whole name of the group, when it really doesn’t need justifcation at all. Anyway, this supposedly is not the new single. One Chance has something else in store for us.
