I don’t know why people keep comparing her to Lauren Hill like she’s had an album out lately, and their voices aren’t THAT similar. I always like Lauren but her style is definately more rhyming than singing.
This is definately my favorite tracks on the album (I’m dying to hear some of her earlier work that was only released in the UK) but this was a boring ass video.

MS.TANNA…LOVE, LOVE AMY. “Love is a Losing Game” is my favorite followed by “Tears Dry on Their Own” and then “Holy War”. All the songs are great IMO, but these are my favorites. One of the few CDs you can listen too from beginning to end.
This chick is highly overrated to me. She is like another Brit Spears when it comes to singing, except Brit could dance. I watched a MTV concert she did and it was CRAP!!! I was highly pissed that I could not understand ANY of her lyrics due to her mumbling, funny faces, and grunting throughout the whole dang on thing!! She seemed to be drunk or something. The best part was when Mos Def was rapping. That was the only part I could understand the whole hour. What a waste of talent. She needs therapy not a record contract!!!

If you haven’t already, you need to hear Frank, her 2003 debut that wasn’t released in the US. Salaam Remi did alot the production (she sings over the “Made You Look” beat) and it basically shits on 95% of the female R&B game now 4 years after the fact.

I love this woman’s music and her rawness, and don’t see why the fact that she isn’t black has to do with anything. Kelis is black and she’s severely underrated, so race has nothing to do with anything. It’s being at the right place at the right time.
