Almost 10 years after the release of her classic album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, MTV News is reporting that Lauryn Hill is working on her second solo release.
Word is, she got new management, and reps say she has a vault of unreleased material that no one has heard yet. Not to mention, she is still hitting up the studio to record even more material. I’m excited about this!!
Don’t get your hopes up on another Fugees album though, MTV also said that that project is a lost cause.

10 years,omg, my ass is old . I forgot I was in H.S trying to act grown, when she came out. I hope she comes out soon;when it comes to lyrics, she can’t be beat. I use to laugh at the chicken heads who sang her songs, and not comprehending that the lyrics were about girls like themselves.

When most artists put out a classic album it is hard for them to top it, but trust, if Ms. Hill picks the right songs and gets her vocals tight, she can most definitely take her shit way past Miseducation. If the current material is in the same direction as the song she did for the Passion of the Christ soundtrack, her second album will make the first one look amateurish. Real talk .

i have learned after 4 years of rumors and over 2 million dollars spent on her “album” and “release dates” not to fall for this so called news. i’ll believe it when theres an album in the stores that i can see, hear, and touch for myself. and if she is still as disturbed as she was several years ago when the rolling stone magazine did their famous/infamous story on her (where she was receiving “spiritual lessons” from some weird random dude trying to act like a prophet), then i will be dissappointed. i also give up on really good music coming out. so until this album is officially in stores, guess imma have to join the crowd and snap my fingers to artists w/o singing voices.

The MESSAGE in Unplugged was to heavy for she so astutely and artistically put mofos on blast and on front sreet and nobody likes to be outted. Whenever you start spitting some truth, somebody gonna label you crazy, etc. Be that is it may, Unpluged, to me is one of the most important artistic endeavors of all time because I GET MS HILL and not everybody does. Those who don’t “get” her are the ones who label. True it seems her relationship with Rohan gave her issues; but also how folks dealt with her when her CD became so hot. Money changes folk for real, and L just said “ef it. i’m out.” I GET YOU LAURYN and I love; I’m so excited bc I posted an APB on EUR got no answers and today, her you are . . . BRING IT LAURYN, BRING IT.

I’m the biggest fan ever…but her voice is no longer up to par. After all of those years not maintaining it, she is way too raspy and doesn’t have the texture she once did back in the day. I still want that album though. I will always support Ms. Hill.

Ummm, is it just me, or doesn’t she already HAVE a second album…. which would make this the THIRD, wouldn’t it?
The sister looks bugged out. She still seems to have spirits on her from whatever ordeal she went through. That entertainment industry is run and controlled by many dark forces and it’s not built for an intuitive spirit like hers to thrive. Things that other, simpler people would dive into head first probably offended her sensibilities.

@ 106, live cds don’t count as real albums, that’s why this new studio album will be her 2nd. Then again, live cds in general don’t contain too many new songs (sometimes no new songs at all), when Lauryn’s had nothing but new tracks. So yep maybe the Unplugged should be considered her 2nd.
I’ve seen the live performances of the links posted and I didn’t watch them entirely because that wasn’t good.

I really do hope she comes out with an another album. I love her so much, nobody in the industry can touch her NOONE!! She paved the way for Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, that white chick with the fucked up teeth, and new artist Chrissette Michelle along with alot of other female rnb singers. I wish her the best of luck and I will be buying the album as soon as it drops. That’s my girl.
Lauryn Hill has a dynamic voice but she has let her personal life and her ego jack up her career. Word is that she is a heifer to work with and has even gotten booed off the stage on several occasions because of her diva crap. That moody artist bulls**t is played out. Lauryn needs to know that the people who support her music are not the diva loving crowd.

That what I was saying! People are so more consumed with the physical appearance of an artist than their gifts and character. Lauren is beyond a doubt vocally and lyrically talented. I am hope she finally makes this album happen.
I don’t care about her personal life…I have my own battles to deal with and far from perfect so I can’t judge her. I just hoping she makes it through the storm and shares the stories through her music as she did before. Because L Boggie speaks truth.

I love Lauryn Hill’s voice, however she needs a new stylist. She has the potential to be attractive, some people make themselves look ugly. Get rid of the natural fro, not working for ya. The clothes, not working 4 ya. Get a perm, new clothes,and a new stylist. In other words it’s 2007 not 1970.
If anyone saw her in Oakland this past Wed night, she was TERRIBLE! Half the audience walked out and booed. I was looking forward to the show, but she let us down big time…
She wanted to be called Ms. Hill because of the song Talib Kweli dedicated to her entitled “Ms. Hill”. DUH.
