According to Entertainment Tonight, EDDIE MURPHY and his girlfriend of 10 months, TRACEY EDMONDS, 40, are engaged. Oh lawd! Here we fucking go again.
According to OK! magazine, the 46-year-old Murphy proposed on July 25 with a “massive,” roughly 8-carat CARTIER yellow diamond engagement ring.
A friend of the couple says, “They’re very adorable together, very happy,” adding that they plan to tie the knot before the end of the year with a private wedding: “something low-key and romantic.”
As we all know both of them come from failed marriages. Tracey was married to singer KENNETH “BABYFACE” EDMONDS for 13 years before they split and Eddie was married to NICOLE MITCHELL for 12 years before they split. Both have children from their previous marriages, and Eddie had a child with singer Melanie “MEL B” Brown. Word is he hasn’t seen the baby yet. How grand.

This doesn’t come as much of a surprise. She didn’t seem to show much interest in the paternity case so it shows that she’s devoted to him lol. I think dating is different when you are a little older, you don’t dance around or avoid the shitty characteristics that you have because at this point you are comfortable with who you are. 40s bring a kind of a confidence, the they are both wearing vibrantly. Its great that they found love or a business/love relationship but I think it sucks that he hasn’t shown much interest in this new child. Who knows what is said behind close doors, but Tracey shouldn’t stand or support this kind of behavior. Eddie has money, he has no excuse for not taking responsibility.
Let’s see how long this lasts….he doesn’t seem like he needs/wants to be married….but he did ask….so maybe things aren’t as they appear. And is she just there for some public attn, I mean we knew who she was but she’s definitely blown up while dating Eddie…Only time will tell.
At first I was thinking that there is something very odd about Eddie’s behavior these past 12/18 months… but he may be the type of guy who has to have a woman and who wants to be married. It wasn’t that long after his divorce that he hooked up with Mel B. and certainly not long after Mel B. [like about 3 minutes] that he was with Tracy.
I think he needs a certain type of woman and Mel B may have been a little to strong for him – Tracy and Nicole [though they both have their own careers] seem fine playing the background with him.
There is, however, – no excuse for not acknowledging your own child.
Congrats to them I guess. I just hope her and Eddie don’t have no more kids.
