J. Holiday – Bed
Some may not even be familiar with this young man, but J. Holiday has been lighting up radio with his second single, “Bed,” which is written by Dream (Nivea’s husband) who brought to you Rihanna’s “Umbrella.” And it’s produced by Los Da Mystro. J. Holiday is set to release his first album, Back of My Lac on October 2nd.
A native of Washington DC, J. Holiday is signed to Capitol Records, through the Music Line Group. Holiday says that he gathers his inspiration for his album from living the street life. But although he draws from his many experiences there, he takes a step back and says: “The streets are not anything to glamorize. I’m trying to let my people back home know that I’m with them. DC has a lot of talent and I’m just trying to show people that we are here.”

It’s a good song. It grew on me after the first listen which is hard to do nowadays because usually our first impression of a song is usually rite.
I thought Rihanna’s Umbrella was real retarded when i first heard it, especially the ella ella eh part. But after hearing it so many Damn times it grew on me. Funny how this Bed song and Umbrella have the same producers.

To make everything clear, the reason “Bed” has some of the same elements of “Umbrella” is bc they were both wrote by the THE KING OF MUSIC, The Dream. The similar sounds are Dream’s trademark.
