KID SISTER – DAMN GIRL
Check it. Kid Sister is my new obsession, so I had to show her love on the blog. She is an Illinois native and currently resides in Chicago’s north side. According to her she “makes club rap and works at a children’s clothing store slanging bibs and teething rings.” Her brother, J2K of Flosstradamus is her DJ and together they make a dope combination.
I was actually introduced to her music when Kanye featured her song, “Pro Nails” on his newest mixtape, Can’t Tell Me Nothing. Homegirl has madd style and I love it. I’m probably late as hell catching on to her sound, but hey, that’s better than never!
Currently, she is working on her debut album and word is she is going to be performing at the L.A. Neighborhoods Festival on September 29th. So make sure you look out for her music in the future and if you haven’t been bumping “Pro Nails”, what you smoking?

First, I would like to say that Kid Sister is indeed a dime 4 realz…VERY EASY ON THE EYES. In addition, I like the fact that she is doing club rap and bringing the game back when electro was poppin’. With this recent boom in sampling or producing dance/electro/bitpop tracks (Busta Rhyme’s Touch It,Bobby Valentino’s Anonymous and Kanye West’s Stronger), she is gonna make huge waves. Me and my homeboys be bumpin’ that Pro Nails from that Kanye mixtape.

I LOVE that song Kanye’s mix tape. It has great bass and sounds awesome in my car. I’ve been bumping it on my way home lately. The neighborhood probably dreads it when I come down the street.

I think it takes a certain kind of person to like Kid Sister, myself personally, I LOVE her! But, some say I’m on the eclectic end of the spectrum. Referring to the Lil Mama comparison, I’m tired of her already, maybe she’s too mainstream for my taste; to each his/her own. Anyways, Kid Sister is a part of the Chicago club music and I’m with it!

She is sooooooo much better than Lil’ Mama. I mean, Kid Sister is beyond what Lil’ Mama could ever even aspire to be! I can’t believe anyone could even attempt to compare them! Not only are her lyrics catchy & her beats addictive, she is a HELL of a performer. That entire group of DJs are awesome, & if none of y’all have ever seen any of their shows, I suggest that you get to it, because you’re missing out!!!
