Caught the show last night. Just have 2 say that I’m not a Diddy fan at all, but I wish I could have thrown a chair at Laurie Ann myself. She seems to have forgotten that it’s Diddy’s show not Laurie Ann’s Making the Band. I can’t stand Diddy because he is a control freak, but if you’ve worked for the man for years then you know how he is and apparently accept it. You don’t work for someone and then decide to make your own rules. She got full of herself and said that without her there would be no show. Okaaay Ms. Diva, but I don’t tune in for you. When I do–and it is rarely these days, it’s to watch a group of wannabes suck up to Diddy all for five minutes of fame. It’s not to watch some self-centered choreographer shake her weave. Now that I’ve seen the episode, I’ve got to switch my opinion of the whole incident.

Does anyone read between the lines? Don’t be so surface. Lori Ann’s initial comments to Puff was obviously coming from some place. Observing their eye contact and body language in that first exchange, as well as taking in consideration that they’ve been down for 10 YEARS, lead me to believe that what she was saying to him had to do with something personal–it had nothing to do with her actually believing SHE IS the show.

Furthermore, in the second argument– Puff may be able to pull the wool over you guys’ eyes but not mine. He wanted her fired by that point, PERIOD, and set the scene up. 1. He knew damn well that they had only rehearsed a day. 2. As much and as hard as HE pushes them he WAS NOT upset that Lori Ann pushed them. (What the hell kind of preparation were they given before being put in a boxing ring with in some instances with a person much bigger than them? Someone could have been seriously hurt and would Puff have gone off on Mike Biv? Hell no, unless he had a personal vendetta to get him off the show anyway.) 3. Puff kept trying to SHUT HER UP when she protested and made perfect sense–this is the making of a band in a matter of weeks—by challenging them you separate the men from the boys so to speak.

Lastly, Puff had to “get her fired” because technically she works for MTV and the ultimate decision to have her on the show was made by MTV producers at Puff’s suggestion.

^^^^You are right. Me personally I am a dark skinned woman with real hair and black men are not interested in me. Because of my skin tone and African features I’ve been made fun of (by black girls mostly) all my life and that has traumatised me. I grew up with very low self esteem but I have learned to be proud of the skin and features God gave me. I had never had a boyfriend in my life until I turn 24 (men I was interested in didn’t care for a girl who look like me). I am currently dating a white guy I met in Law School (going on 14 months now) and I am much happier now and I know that if we end up getting married and having kids, the kids will be considered beautiful and gorgeous by society because they will be light skinned. That’s a shame, but it’s the awful truth…most importantly the kids won’t go through the pain and humiliations I went through growing up.

Because, I have seen some BEAUTIFUL dark skin women…(Naomi Campbell included, Kim Porter etc) So let’s not act like dark skinned women don’t get praised…and I’ve also seen some ugly light skinned chicks (Tisha Campbell, Lumidee…lol) so it really depends on the person’s features, that make them beautiful/ugly. .

People please don’t be fooled. Making the Band was soooooooo edited last night. Lori Ann was not wrong at all. She could only teach the guys on one day because she was out of town…and the producers knew that from jump. During the fight, we didn’t even get to see the throwing of the chairs or the part where Lori Ann tells Bivens to get his hand off her. So Lori Ann had to do what she had to do and step. She’s been too loyal to Diddy to have him disrespect her in that way.

Oh and Venus looks great! Both sisters have stepped their game up lately.

The whole Laurie Ann situation was as I expected — hype.
But she was definitely out of line, regardless of how people feel about him, Diddy is her boss and it’s HIS show. In my opinion he showed a lot or restraint, and I don’t believe that there was any assault by Micheal Bivins because her reaction would have likely been different than just walking out - and as a matter of fact, if she was assaulted, all she had to do was call the police - right then and there.

She was disrespectful to the young men, and caused an injury that might ultimately eliminate one of the guys. She pressed them to learn all of that in a few hours because she wasn’t available over the weekend like she was supposed to be. And quite frankly what “singing” group has all of those hyped up steps? That’s why you get dancers. All that jumping around, you could hardly breathe, let alone sing a note.

She was mighty extra, and her agenda was clear earlier in the day when she said to Diddy “if you edit me out, you don’t have a show”. She got the big head.
She walked out before, and he sent someone after her, she expected that again, and like he said, she is not the only choreographer.
