At the end of the day, people have to deal with the choices that they make. Look at Puffy, rich as hell, but a male hoe miserable in love, can’t keep a woman, messing around, kids here and there. Kim got the cash “thanks to” the kids, but chances are her love life is pretty much over, if she chose this man for his money, besides the money, what did she get from that? Pain and public humiliation. None of them are happy. Users in the end NEVER win. Been played once until he showed his true colors, I could have done like most people, go the easy route and decide to play too cause I’ve been played. I didn’t let that bum control my life, decisions, mood, mindset and destiny. Conclusion? Been blessed with a good one, and we’re engaged. He’s had his share of bad experiences too, but didn’t let that destroy him inside either. Happiness is a choice, peace of mind is a choice, oh and the people who gravitate around you on the outside are a reflection of you on the inside. Sis, I never mentioned who “wrote” the movie. I mentioned who BANKROLLED the movie. Anyone can write a script, but will the people with the money bankroll the movie. Will they see that finished movie as being in THEIR best interests. Denzel Washington wanted to do a “Hannibal” movie 10 years ago, but no major Hollywood studio wanted to finance the movie. They refused to depict an epic historical movie along the lines of “Braveheart” or “Gladiator” with a black male actor in the lead role. The powers that be know the power that emanates from the movie screen and they did not want blacks to see an army of blacks, led by a black general, defeat the caucasian Romans. The same way Spike Lee had to beg for money from famous blacks to make “Malcolm X”. My point is that “Something New” was bankrolled because it was in the white man’s best interest. Do you really think that a major Hollywood studio would’ve bankrolled a “Something New” male version starring Mekhi Phifer or Omar Epps where he decides to head off into the sunset with (insert 90lb. young, white actress here). I don’t think so.
