I hear you. And the thing is, if you at least have a hand in raising your child and teaching them morals and values, they will stand a chance. As far as helping them to find the right mates, my belief is that we naturally attract and stay around the people that are most like us and that we most want to be like. Do you really think that a major Hollywood studio would’ve bankrolled a “Something New” male version starring Mekhi Phifer or Omar Epps where he decides to head off into the sunset with (insert 90lb. young, white actress here). Sis, that’s just an overview of MY evaluation. If you disagree, that’s fine. I don’t expect many sisters to agree with me. When I say “semi-lesbian”, I’m talking about this atmosphere of man hatred that has spurred up in the black and hispanic community in concert with the “empowerment” and “independence” of the sisters. I link the two up because I believe that there’s an identical mentality involved. That’s the reason why about 40% of these young girls in the junior high school and high school systems are “all of a sudden” lesbian or bi-sexual. Then there’s the spiritual, biblical, prophetic aspect of it, but this is not the topic for that. First off black women are not “independent”, nor are the men. None of us. This land is the land of our captivity, not a land of freedom. What black women perceive to be independence is a level of power accrued to them from the white man with the sole intent of destroying the relationship structure. Most of the women that spurred on the so-called “feminist revolution” were agents. I don’t want to go off on a tangent sis, lol.
