ESSENCE COVERS “DO RIGHT MEN”

essence-copy.jpg

Essence’s August 2007 issue is a dedicated to 2007′s “Do Right Men”. If you have a subscription to Essence magazine, you may see these three fine football players Braylon Edwards, Dhani Jones, and Kerry Rhodes at your doorstep – or in your mailbox rather (you wish).

If you were one of the unlucky ones like me – you got Tyler Perry on the other cover…well, unless you find Madea sexy. On the flip side, Tyler has come a long way to reach the pinnacle of success he’s at so its well deserved.

It seems like the women who have nothing nice to say, realize they don’t have a fucking chance in hell of even sniffing these guys jock strap. Let’s keep it real…i find it disturbing that essence had to dedicate an entire cover to Black men who wants to meet Black women…

What is essence saying about you black women? Here you have a successful pool of black men, who are essentially saying, they can’t meet qualified black women as mate.

What I find interesting is the same women that are bitching and nip-picking about these brothas, are the same ones who quick to point out, there are no good black men left…or the good ones are either DL, gay, married or wants white women.

Again, i have come to realize, a black man will never satisfy you bitter fucks…many of you are scorned and bitter. I really do believe you hate black men…for whatever reason.

And since when the character of a man was determined by the race of the woman he is fucking? Alot of dope boys i grew up with fucked many hoodrats…and only hoodrats. in fact, they love the sistas…lol…yet the character of these niggas were at the bottom of totem pole.

maybe, yall should go get a hood nigga…it seems like they are only niggas that would fuck with you broads on here.

Omg…. I think I agree with you. No, I do agree with you. Essence dedicated an entire cover for black women so they can meet a decent black man yet all of you are still complaining. You cant be serious. Im a black woman, yes and I agree with everything Dats_Da_Truth said. You shouldnt judge none of these men because personally none of you (or me) know them. I dont know if so and so is gay or whatever problem some of you think they might have but that shouldnt stop a woman for giving him a chance. Its also nice of Essence to give us a little eye candy, none of them are ugly, they all look handsome (Im talking about every man inside that issue). They all have big things going on for them, seem to have nice personalities and yall already turning on them because they sound or look a certain way or they dated outside the black race. Who gives a sh*t. If they dating or even marrying a black woman now, it shouldnt even matter who they once socialized with. Ok, Im done.

    Love,Peace,&&Honeyy

  2. Alas…there is hope for black women after all

After typing to these two buffoons on here, I was about to give up hope…

I am out…tammy and goddess…I will leave you bitter hags to your bitching. I really think you two should start a “why I hate black men bitching tour?”

  3. @ 122 lmao Give me one line on this entire blog where you have ever seen me down a black man ?? You wont find one b/c I love my brothas! So I dont know where you get your information as to me being bitter. You’re the one who come on this blog complaining about women all the time ,so you tell me who’s bitter ?? I just dont care for niggas like you who are stuck on hood women and thats how you veiw all women ! So, everytime I feel the need to say something to your stupid ass when you post those weak ass generalizations I will, so get used to it ! Your names is as dumb as you are ! You’re confused as shit your just typing to be fucking typing now !

  4. Throw a rock at a dog…and it will bark…

If my comments didn’t concern your ass, then why did you bark all over my post…

One more time, stop your bitching and go get laid…

If I had a penchant for broads of your ilk, I would have offered my service..

But, at the current stage that I am in, it takes more than a good-head game to get me to fuck… I need substance.

    Im out..

  5. @224 Nigga please, When you talk about black women you’re talking about me ! I didn’t hear anyone mention your name on any of those post you responded to ,so why are you responding ?? lol ,Damn, you’re dumber than I thought ! lol ? Look at you ,you’re so used to dealing with chickenheads you cant find anything better to say ! Damn shame ! I thought you were out like an hour ago ?? lmao

  6. Hello,
I am very troubled by what appears to be a new trend amongst black women: They don’t speak to us. I have experienced this in the gym, at the beach, in the markets, and in various cities.
I have never been the type of man to be in a woman’s face, never wanting them to feel uncomfortable. But it’s just terrible how pervasive it is. I had one of my buddies say the same thing a few weeks ago. I ran into my jr. hi school sweetheart at the gym and I told her aboiut it. At first she felt like she needed to “Defend my sister.” She later relented and told me that other black men have told her the same thing.
As I have told my adult daughter, there certainly men who are huge pest, I know a few. Just speak and keep moving. Everyone has a flat tire, or a dead battery sometimes. You made need help.

  7. I may have to pick up that copy of Essence~ And Essence is an african american targeted magazine so why would anyone be shocked that they would have an issue dedicated to black men who love and are seeking out eligable black women.

You all are some very ignorant, ghettofied, trifling…..oh, and let me restate IGNORANT wenches. All yoru comments are way too stupid to comment on.. Instead of applauding these brothas for what they have/are contributed/contributing, you’re making silly little immature comments like, “he’s gay”. Grow the hell up and maybe one of those fine, delicious, capable, successful, tantalizing, EDUCATED and gorgeous Black men will decide to look your way one day. Oh, my bad, they would like a lady with class, which is something all of you dizzy broads definitely LACK!

I think Dhani Jones is an extremely sexy, handsome and attractive individual. As well as being highly intelligent and charismatic of course. Before anyone judges these guys in any sort of negative way, take a closer look at what they do and have done for our community for instance. What they give back and what kind of great individuals some of these guys really are. Just google his name for instance and see what you find. These guys are not only making big money, being athletic superstars, but also making a great impact on the little ones, being role models youth leaders, while at the same time giving back and supporting charities foundations for our people. And on top of all of this they made the cover of Essence magazine because they look fabulous as well. So what if Dhani has a hairy chest and doesn’t have a bald head or a fade like the majority of todays black men. Thats a huge plus. Expression, creativity and individuality rules. I’d rather give credit when credit is due, and be quiet if there’s nothing good to say any day. So, stop hating people, and appreciate a little.

  10. El Jackson

Dhani Jones plays for the Cincinnati Bengals…and he’s fine as hell!
