Michael Vick has been the recipient of ridicule and wide spread outcry for the dog fighting charges he has been hit with. If you’ve been under a rock somewhere, than you might not know about this.
Beginning on April 25, 2007, widespread media publicity was drawn by discovery of evidence of unlawful dog fighting activities at a property he owns in a rural county in southeastern Virginia. On July 17, 2007, Vick and three other men were indicted by a federal grand jury for felony and misdemeanor charges involving a 6-year long interstate dog fighting venture called “Bad Newz Kennels” and tens of thousands of dollars in gambling activities.
He went on V-103 today and spoke to Porsche Foxx about what’s been going down and why he loves his fans.

It doesn’t look good for Mike. Once a co-defendant turns, it’s hard to defend esp. since it’s the guy who claims he set up the enterprise. He has probably given up more information than Mike and his lawyer even has.
Bottom line, it was too much going on for him not to have some knowledge – if not total involvement. I believe the man is innocent until they prove him guilty, but in the meantime, things are looking really bad for him.
On the real, he’s right that he’s turning it over to GOD, but all this talk about footbal and getting back on the field is irrelevant, he needs to try to make sure he stays out of jail first.

And what? Honestly, if Michael Vick really is guilty of the torture and killing of dozens of animals all for the sake of gambling would you still be his biggest fan? I know I had nothing against him before this but his supposed actions are despicable if true, and I can’t truly stand by a person who’s guilty of such actions. So so what if people who were cheering on him are now picketing him? Is he not possibly guilty of letting his legions of fans down? All the people on put their faith in him to play, and all the little kids who looked up to him as a role model? You can’t blame them.
And I’m sorry, I know a lot of people would like to treat this like some 50/50, let’s wait and see kinda thing where there is a genuine chance where he may be innocent, but let’s be real here: The operation was based on HIS property and ran by HIS family and friends using what was most likely HIS money. And every day the evidence pile stacks higher. It would be sorely illogical to believe that he didn’t even KNOW about it, much less participated. Heck, that’s why his ass is turning to the Lord now–because he KNOWS he got caught.

It’s really not about race. Have yall been paying attention to the news lately? Here in NYC there have been about 4 or 5 people arrested for animal cruelty in the last two months. And only one of them was a black man (who happened to have tied his dog to a tree and set him on fire). And also I love how people keep talking about God and religion, like He would approve of someone abusing one of his creatures. Or the ones who talk about how vicious pitbulls are, and they deserve to be treated like that (very Christian). Or even better bring up dogbite studies. Hands down, people kill more people than dogs do, wether they are behind the gun, behind the wheel, or behind the leash.

READ THE INDICTMENT PAPERS ONLINE——the property is Vicks,he bankrolled dogfights & transported dogs across state lines,witnesses saw him at various dog fights (someone called out his real name instead of the nick name he uses to hide his ID). The state & justice departments became interested when he & his partners started making T-shirts,hats,head & wrist bands with the logo “bad newz kennels” and the betting on the dogfights started to NET 5,000–37,000 a fight. I BELIEVE authorities was aware of the dogfights & the people involved, but only moved in to shut down operations when the business was growing, becoming popular & netting large amounts of money. BUT NO MATTER HOW YOU LOOK AT IT VICK’S INVOLVEMENT (on a large or small scale) IS WRONG & IMMORAL. Besides, many of us aware or not should know many pitbull owners (especially many young black male dog owners) raise their dogs to fight,attack stray cats/dogs or to scare neighbors or other young black males, or for badass status in the neighborhood. THERE IS NO WAY THAT VICK WAS NOT AWARE OF WHAT WAS ON HIS PROPERTY——-how can you hide kennels,dogs & their smell or barking? Dogfighting & how they killed the weaker/loser dogs is cruel & inhumane.
