Nicole makes her first splash onto the solo scene with her first single, “Whatever You Like,” featuring T.I. I’m a little surprised that this was the same production from the Chilli song that I posted a couple months ago. Although, something about Nicole’s version just makes me go crazy. I first heard this song in a club, and I think that’s what cranked me up. I think that this will really go off on the radio, I think. Especially with production from the infamous Polow Da Don and lyrics pinned by Sean Garrett. Lately, they’ve been doing everything for everyone. I’m excited for Nicole’s debut, Her Name Is Nicole, which is due out September. Nicole has productions from Will.I.Am, Pharrell Williams and Timbaland. She’s pulled everyone for this record.

This sounds a lot like Blindfold me by Kelis. This song sounds like everything that Kelis, Gwen, and Fergie done did. If you’re going to come out and introduce yourself as Nicole then get some original sounding material. No doubt you can dance to this, but it doesn’t have an original sound the ladies I mentioned plus Ciara, Ashanti, and Chili could all do this song. My verdict is that the video will make this a hit, I hope Nicole will do some real singing on her cd.

I remember when I first heard Nicole S. on the WB’s show searching for a female group. During the process I heard her sing beautifully and then joined Eden’s Crush and I thought to myself that she would be a great solo artist. However, it seems to me that she is not singing to her potential and this latest song proves that. I am not in the entertainment industry so I don’t feel the pressures of artist to come up with “marketable” music. But I think that if you truly love your craft you should do what you love and have something as a secure back up plan in case your music doesn’t sell.

I’ll say it again. Chilli’s version was CHILDISH. How in the right mind ya’ll gonna come on here a contradict ya’ll selves when Chilli song premired on this site, many of you were saying the same thing. But when a PCD lead takes the shine and makes the track better, ya’ll wanna take up for Chilli. Chilli’s track sounded too much like a TLC track and what they would have done before.
