Since her last unfortunate event, Kelly has still been making moves thank goodness. Despite canceling a few concerts here and there, she has filmed two videos for the songs “Comeback” and “Work”, which will both be released as singles off her latest album “Ms. Kelly”.

I think it’s hilarious how when Beyonce does something everyone says “that h–needs to let Kelly shine!!”, “Kelly is the prettiest” and this and that.
HOWEVER, those SAME so-called “fans” of Kelly didnt go out and buy the album!!
If everybody talking about her being so talented and the true star of DC had bought it, she would be doing ok.

I think her album is really good. I think the problem with it is exactly the opposite of what #59 is saying. Most of the songs on the album you have to sit down and listen to the lyrics. It’s not an album you’re gonna pop in and start shaking your ass to like a B-Day for example. You couldn’t care less what Beyonce is talking about in half those songs as long as the beats bump hard and Beyonce’s voice rides the track well. Same thing with Rihanna’s recent album. Kelly’s album has real lyrical content. People aren’t in the mood for that so her camp is releasing the songs they think are bangers and they happen to be the weaker ones on the album.
Note: I AM NOT HATING ON B-DAY. I BOUGHT IT AND LIKE IT. But even stans have to admit substance is missing from most of the songs.
Am I the only one that doesn’t like what she’s wearing? Maybe if she showed a little skin and showed a sexier side she would gain more attention. I don’t mean she has to get damn near butt naked, but she has a nice shape so she should maybe show it off a little bit more.
Kelly can sing and all but she really needs to “bring it.” Maybe she should do like Beyonce and find herself an alter ego so that she’s not so boring when she’s performing. She holds back too much.

Okay, Kelly needs to do something big to keep herself fresh on peoples minds! I love Kelly but she’s boring! Nothing sets her apart for the rest, except for the fact that she use to be a member of of Destiny’s Child(big whoop!). She needs attention! All those soft acts are boring. She need to bust out a Ciara-move in her video or “pat her weave” to have everybody gasp and become impressed! But I’m pretty sure that this is going to be another boring video. I’m already yawning…….

hubby and I had this conversation a few days ago. Kelly can sing, she’s pretty, she can dance…her problem in my eyes is that she just doesn’t “pop” at me like Beyonce does. He said maybe that’s just her style, she doesn’t want to pop out all over the place. Don’t ever tell him I said it but he’s right. She’s doing it the way she wants to do it, and she’s making money at it.
It’s not an at least she’s trying, at least she’s giving it a shot, but she’s doing it the way she wants to do it and what feels good for her.
I think her label is tryin to release all the uptempo songs 1st to bring some hype…..I believe they will release “Still In Love With My Ex” at a later date (hopefully) cuz that and “The Show” are actually the best songs on the album.
But Kelly’s CD is good…..so don’t sleep on my girl
Nobody was crunk about “Deja Vu” when Bee released it as her 1st single, but then when she hit yall with that “Irreplaceable” it was OVER! So the same with Kelly, release the so-so tracks then hit ‘em with a BANG!
I hope Bee didnt fall because Kelly passed out….that would be quite lame if this was the case.

I love kelly. I so agree with #74. Her style doesn’t appeal to many people. She gets compared to Beyonce and that is why people cannot appreciate what she does. Rihanna may not have the best voice but she is appealing. I do not know why it has to be Kelly Rowland. People say that she is not hardworking enough. I think she needs something, maybe more control or a new management!

Excuse me to all the people in this forum. All the people in this forum talking negative. Half of yall dont even have the album. If you did you would say that ms. kelly is hot as hell. Cause it is. The fast songs will do thier jobs as singles. Yeah her album isnt an instance success. But it is slowly but steady selling albums. it is a personal best for her though. Eventually everyone will leave her alone and stop steady comparing her to her other group members. I went out and brought the album because i am a true dc fan. All of the true dc fans love them for all of them not just beyonce. If so then you were never a fan. This album will go platinum once she released the singles and finish the promotions. She probably going back in the studio this moment to record bonus tracks for the rerelease. Who she needs to work with is Jermaine Durpree and JayZ
she’s definitely a beautiful woman but after seeing her performance @ the 07 BET Awards, I’m not so sure that she can be a mainstay…although Ciara can’t sing to save her damn life, she can dance her ass off and on top of that she’s beautiful but that can only take you so far. Kelly’s going to have to explore some other options…being pretty ain’t enough…or at least it shouldn’t be.

my god…beyonce migh have alot of “haters” but her album was gold in the first week of release! im sick of everyone hating on beyonce! her album was weaker than dangerously in love but it still had high points i mean irreplaceable, upgrade u, ring the alarm, and kitty kat were GREAT SONGS! I LOVE KELLY and have heard all the songs off the album and she only had about 4 good songs on the album. love, work, still in love with my ex, and flashback. all the rest were throwaway! she hasnt proven herself as much as beyonce but she WILL come into her own and some day she wont be compared at all. but u have to wonder would she even be a big deal if she hadnt had destiny’s child. u prob would say the same thing about beyonce but she obviously proved she didnt need destinys child. but u see kelly doin interviews and they still have to say she was from destinys child! u dont see em sayin beyonce who was in the best selling girl group destinys child do u? i think beyonces third album will be alot better than B’Day because I think she will take her time and try some new collaborations. It prob wont come out till late 2008 or early 2009 tho.
