We purposely didn’t post any Remy Ma news all this week because we were waiting for events to unfold. So far the charges still stand against her: attempted murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. The ‘victim’, Makeda Barnes-Joseph, spoke to the NY DAILY NEWS earlier this week claiming that she couldn’t believe Remy shot her. Here is what she said:
Bronx native Barnes-Joseph told the New York Daily News that she had been close friends with Ma for more than a decade.
She said that as they left a bar together around 3:40 a.m., the 26-year-old hip-hopster climbed into her car and accused her of stealing about $3,000, ordered her to dump out her purse, then shot her.
“All I heard was the gun go off,” she said. “I couldn’t believe she shot me!”
Barnes-Joseph said that even as she sat in the car bleeding, Ma continued to search through her things for the missing cash. [SOURCE]
Remy, on the other hand, maintains her innocence and even shouted it from her bedroom window on Monday. “I didn’t shoot my friend!…I didn’t shoot nobody,” the rapper yelled as the media surrounded her home. She also pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Who could forget the infamous Shemar Moore ‘gay beach nude pics’ that hit the net last week. Blogs went crazy with this one! Shemar recently sat down with In Touch Weekly to set the record straight…literally.
“People find it interesting to try to make me gay; I’m not gay. I went on vacation with two girlfriends of mine who, interestingly enough got cut out of the pictures. We found a nude beach, as far as I know, was a unisex beach…. We took off our clothes and jumped in the water. I’ve been trying to skinny dip since I was a teenager. I’m just grateful that the water was warm!”

We were grateful too! If you’re late and out of the loop, here is the link to the nudes! (NSFW!)

Once again, R. Kelly proves that he is absolutely insane. And T. Pain too. Seriously, when I first heard this, my mouth just sort of hung open. It was blatantly obvious that Usher wasn’t available to re-appear on the single because it’s clear that they just layered his vocals for certain parts of the song. At the end, R. Kelly just completely goes on a tangent that has absolutely nothing to do with the initial theme of the song, which is that the “same girl” is actually T. Pain’s wife. Give me a break. If I hear that on the radio over and over again, I might blow a gasket. I mean, I was cool with the original version, but this is over-kill.

THREE LADIES THAT RAN IT
A. Thandie Newton - a lady who is always simple yet elegant - shimmered in this black number last night.
B. Garcelle Beauvias - shows that not all Playboy covergirls can look plastic. She glows in slacks and a draped halter, carries twins underneath.
C. Iman - looks fresh in this blue formal summer dress. Who cares if she covered her toes or not…this woman still got it.

The G.A.M.E INC. 7th Anniversary Party Hosted By Lil Wayne and Baby was held in D.C. last night. FOL & Charm School’s Deelishis and Shay “Buckeey” Johnson were in attendance. Check out more pics after the cut, I guess they were letting anybody up in that piece.

I knew! I knew it! I knew it! I knew there was something about this song! Sean Kingston’s hit single, which I can confidently say that I was never a fan of, was also recorded by Blackground recording artist, JoJo. You may remember her from her hit song “Get Out” or her recent album The High Road, released last year.
I can honestly say that I’m in love with JoJo’s voice, so her version is a lot more ‘listenable’ to me. Something told me that this song had been around for a while and they were just waiting for the right time (and the right artist) to drop it. Even though I still wasn’t ready for it, it seems like radio is eating it up. So which version do you like better?

I didn’t think that the industry was ready for Ja Rule to come back, but apparently, he didn’t think so! And I think he did what any other smart rapper would have done - throw Lil’ Wayne on the track, because he’s really what’s hot right now as far as rappers go. At first, listening to the song, it sounded extremely dated to me. Like something from early 2000’s. But not Inc. style. The titled “Uh Oh” made me think that it was going to be sort of epic - like a great return, because Ja Rule and his Murder Inc.-ians used to rule the radio. But this doesn’t make me think of an ultimate return. I guess we’ll just have to see what Ja Rule is going to bring this time around, because this isn’t hot. I’m definitely getting lukewarm from this.
