Kelly recently spoke to Essence magazine about her child-hood struggle with her image:
Kelly Rowland once wanted to look white. “It’s said that brown-skinned girls don’t sell magazines and that’s so sad,” the sexy songbird tells next month’s Essence. “I remember wishing I was more fair-skinned, but Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mom, would say, ‘Don’t you know how beautiful you are?’ She made me come into my brown beauty. I didn’t get it, but now I do. I am chocolate and beautiful and loving it.” [SOURCE]

Mel B says that her “heart dropped down to” her “gut” when Eddie Murphy demanded a DNA test to prove he fathered their daughter, Angel Iris. She told Essence magazine..
“I went to London and on my return flight I learned that he made that announcement about wanting a DNA test on that TV show. Then I saw him on the red carpet with Tracey Edmonds and that’s when I knew we were over.”
Mel - who already has an eight-year-old daughter, Phoenix Chi, with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar - also told Essence:
“This was a completely planned pregnancy. This wasn’t some random, ‘Oops I fell over and I’m pregnant.’ I don’t live my life like that. I’m a responsible parent and have been a responsible single parent since I got divorced.”

UGK Member Pimp C has been bluntly speaking his mind lately, with his most recent hits being published in Ozone magazine. The rapper went at Atlanta, along with a few entertainers and moguls on the scene today, including Ne-Yo and Russell Simmons:
On Ne-Yo:
“I ain’t out here dressing up trying to be sexy licking my lips like old gay a** Ne-Yo. Licking lips and shit, n***a. Pussy d**k in the booty a** n***a wearing all that gotdamn lipgloss at their video shoots and letting n***as put makeup on their face. Yeah, I said Ne-Yo, you heard what the f**k I said. N***as putting all that lip gloss on they f**kin’ lips looking like they’ve just been eating a pork chop sandwich with no hands.”
On Russell Simmons:
“I just made peace with the lil n***a Short Dawg cause on the cool, it really wasn’t his fault. On Atlanta:

Since her last unfortunate event, Kelly has still been making moves thank goodness. Despite canceling a few concerts here and there, she has filmed two videos for the songs “Comeback” and “Work”, which will both be released as singles off her latest album “Ms. Kelly”.
