“Please don’t let me die!” Makeda Barnes-Joseph screamed as she lay bleeding on the ground next to her car in the trendy neighborhood.
“Am I going to die?” Barnes-Joseph howled at 3:50 a.m. on W. 14th St. near Washington St.
Remy Ma – best known as the former leading lady of rapper Fat Joe’s Terror Squad – fled the shooting in an SUV, police sources said.

Rap star Remy Ma reported to police earlier today (July 14) and has officially been charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Barnes-Joseph was taken to Saint Vincent’s Hospital and is in stable condition.

Female rap star Remy Ma has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and other charges today (July 15), after she surrendered to authorities yesterday for allegedly shooting and seriously wounding a childhood acquaintance during a dispute outside of a Manhattan bar early Saturday morning (July 14).
Remy Ma is being held on Rikers Island, as a judge sided with prosecutors bail request of $250,000.

The thing that sticks out to me is that they don’t indicate in ANY of the articles whether or not Remy found the $2000 on her friend. So, because of that I believe it was over something else. I believe Remy did the shooting, and I believe (because this sadly is the case in most confrontations between two black women, let’s be honest…) that it was over a man…(and probably an ugly, trifling one, at that)
