We purposely didn’t post any Remy Ma news all this week because we were waiting for events to unfold. So far the charges still stand against her: attempted murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. The ‘victim’, Makeda Barnes-Joseph, spoke to the NY DAILY NEWS earlier this week claiming that she couldn’t believe Remy shot her. Here is what she said:
Bronx native Barnes-Joseph told the New York Daily News that she had been close friends with Ma for more than a decade.
She said that as they left a bar together around 3:40 a.m., the 26-year-old hip-hopster climbed into her car and accused her of stealing about $3,000, ordered her to dump out her purse, then shot her.
“All I heard was the gun go off,” she said. “I couldn’t believe she shot me!”
Barnes-Joseph said that even as she sat in the car bleeding, Ma continued to search through her things for the missing cash. [SOURCE]
Remy, on the other hand, maintains her innocence and even shouted it from her bedroom window on Monday. “I didn’t shoot my friend!…I didn’t shoot nobody,” the rapper yelled as the media surrounded her home. She also pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Eye witnesses from the alleged shooting even backed up Remy’s claim:
The source said Remy Ma had accused Barnes-Joseph of stealing in the past, despite the fact that they were childhood friends.
“Everyone was good the entire party, until we went outside and Makeda tried to quickly slip away,” the woman told AllHipHop.com. “She has [allegedly] stolen from Remy before and Remy forgave her the first time. Remy even paid Makeda’s rent before, when she spent her money on shopping and her sorry a** boyfriend couldn’t help out.”
According to the witness Barnes and Remy argued in the street Remy never Got in Barne’s Maxima.
“Remy never got in her [Barnes-Joseph’s] car,” the witness revealed to AllHipHop.com. “Makeda [allegedly] threatened Remy in front of everyone and demanded that she didn’t take her money. She also threw her purse at Remy to check and that’s why Remy had her purse and emptied the contents. Remy didn’t even have a gun on her.”
The witness says that the rest of the entourage was approaching Remy and Barnes and thats when shots rang out.
“Makeda’s boyfriend threatened Remy,” the woman said. “All I know is, as soon as I turned, Makeda was on the ground saying she got shot, but Remy [allegedly] never had a pistol in her hand.”
The witness says after the shooting everyone fled the scene because police was on the way. When they arrived they found Barnes shot in her car and Remy’s Escalade crashed into some parked cars up the block.

Remy then jumps in her rental Escalade after dumping her friend’s bleeding carass on the pavement. She bullets down the street passing gun stores and water ice stands on her way to Fat Joe’s house. She gets mesmerized by a Hot Dog that resembles her memory of Lil Wayne’s dick and crashes into a light pole.
Maybe Makeda is confused about who shot her
After reading both accounts it’s not questionable to believe that Remy’s bodyguard or friend could have shot Makeda.

The Gun – Has it been recovered ???
Witnesses- Remy has a lot of witnesses saying that she didn’t do it.
Makeda is the only person saying that Remy shot her, but does Makeda have any witnesses ????

Remy and Makeda just come out of the apartment after eating some chicken noodle soup with a soda on the side. Makeda reaches into her purse for her Dr.Pepper lip balm and a wad of 20s falls out of her purse. Remy notices any money that has been dropped on the floor from her years of being a stripper.
Remy forcefully shoves Makeda against the car and yells angrily “Yo you still owe me 3 Gs Yo!” Makeda responds by saying, “I’ll give it you when I get paid!”
Remy says “Giving me head and a little crack aint gone cut it no mo yo!”
Remy claps her catcher’s mitts she calls hands and summoned her 400 pound body guard Tiny.
“Tiny take care of this bitch!” Makeda yells “No please don’t kill me nooooooo!”
Remy says to Tiny “Ima be half way to the car when you shoot her ok? Ima drive to Time Square and show my ass unexpectantly on TRL like Mariah Carey. You run through that ally to my momma’s house. Aaaaaaannnnd Go!” Tiny shot and Remy was off. Remy sped down the street on her way to TRL when she noticed her Drug Store weave was caught in the door, in her efforts to free her horse hair she let go of the wheel and crashed into a light pole.
