THE ROUND UP: EVE INTERVIEW POSTPONED | OPRAH BACKS OBAMA | RAY J SPENT 20,000 ON LIL KIM? | SUGE KNIGHT BIT ACTOR’S FINGER
Friday, July 20, 2007
Due to mix-up the Eve Interview has been postponed until further notice. I was told the upcoming date will be soon, so make sure to look out for it. In the meantime, I will be interviewing T.I. later on today. Look out for the type up on Monday. ON TO THE ROUND UP!!
OPRAH BACKS OBAMA IN A BIG WAY!
Billionaire, Oprah Winfrey is set to hold the celebrity political party of the year with a $2300 a plate fund raiser for presidential Candidate Barack Obama. The event will be held at her mansion in Cali:
“There will be a reception and a concert with a very special guest,” said Parker’s e-mail to her “list” of friends. To get in on the party, the maximum $2,300-per-individual contribution for the primary is being asked. Special VIP access will be given to people who raise $25,000 (they will be called co-hosts), with top bundlers of $50,000 or more to be listed as “hosts” of the event. [SOURCE]
I know Obama is sitting pretty with this one, Oprah has major pull in the enterainment world as well as with her audience!
RAY J DROPPING G’S ON LIL KIM?

Damn Ray J! I didn’t know that sex tape payout was that big. Word has it that he spent over 20,000 bucks on Lil Kim last week for a birthday shopping spree in Cali. The buck didn’t stop there either, her surprised her with even more lavishing gifts when she went back to her hotel room! Ray J must have some serious game, all the chicks are up on him.
SUGE KNIGHT IS CRAZY, BUT WE KNEW THAT.
Our favorite CEO Suge Knight allegedly bit an HBO actor on his finger! WTF? Kevin “E” Connolly, who stars in HBO’S hit series Entourage (love that show) was allegedly wrestling with the Knight in a California club when Suge bit his ass. How cannibalistic is that? Suge is fucking crazy.
Here is what an eye witness said:
“Kevin and Suge were wrestling and Suge literally bit Kevin’s finger,” says a witness. “He was bleeding everywhere.””Kevin didn’t seem too upset,” says the spy, “although he must have been in tons of pain.”
Um, why was that dude wrestling with Suge’s big ass anyway? Kevin is like 4′10!!

THE POWERFUL 3: OBAMA, HILLARY, AND BILL!!!!!! WOW!!!!!
Sometimes the powers need to come together instead of going against each other when the time is right.

The white media keeps pushing Obama
Obama has raised more money than hillary clinton.
Where does that money come from, you think it comes from black folks?
no, if the support isnt from black folks that who do you think he will have to listen too?
Obama hasnt indicated he is against any of these illuminatic agreements like the north american union, nafta, cafta, Real Id cards and so on
Look up all the afformentioned things please.

I’ve always voted Democrat until the 2004′ Presidential Election. I was so disappointed the way Democrats are NOT Proactive in sticking to their agenda. They Flip Flop (Vote on Iraq) , back and forth according to the Opinion Polls.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>> WHO’S OPINION’S ARE THOSE?
Usually, not the people who will be voting for them, but Polling Houses who have made up “FUZZY Numbers” to influence the direction of a Candidates Campaigne:
So that they can keep their jobs, and have a Scoop to talk about on their:
NOT SO INSIGHTFUL, Sunday morning talk shows.
Obama has the best INSIGHT for the job, and he will get my Vote!
~ I WILL ***ONLY*** VOTE IF OBAMA IS LEADING THE TICKET,
IF HE DOESN’T GET MY VOTE:
NO ONE WILL!
He is the only Candidate, who has Earned It, because I guarantee that it has Not been given lightly, and Cannot be expected because you willl the Nomination.
I am only voting for the candidate I want, not whomever happens to wash upon the Democratic shore!

I can’t get behind Obama just because Oprah is throwing her support to him. I’m really going to have to wait until I know more. I agree with #11, just because I’m black doesn’t mean Obama automatically has my vote. And just because I’m a woman doesn’t mean that Hillary has my vote. They’re really going to need to earn my vote. And right now, I have no idea who I want to vote for. If Gore was running, he’d have it without question.

I just feel that if Obama was to become president (but we all know that white ass America ain’t bout to let that happen) he is going to fuck all these people rooting for him because he is black over. He seems eerie to me plus his name Is Obama!!! Come On, what black man you know got a name like that. It seems suspect to me. Sounds too much like Osama if you get my drift. Might be his cousin for all we know. I hope Hillary wins, because you know her husband will be giving her ideas on being the 2nd best president that I’ve experienced in my lifetime.

Even if Obama does make it to office by some miracle (i.e. hell is colder than the north pole, all the white folks get sick on election day, electoral collage becomes all black, etc. ) you know that man will be assasinated on day two in office. He prolly wouldnt even make it from the Inauguration ceremony. Lets be real. This is just strictly for publicity because after this the man will be able to write his own ticket to any position he wants outside of the presidency; CEO, chairman, maybe even secretary of state.

Personally I would love to Obama in office, AFTER somebody white has come in there and made the first attempt to clean up the MESS that Bush has made of our government. Go on and handle that Hillary!! Let that be her “claim to fame”..The woman who TRIED to clean up Bush’s mess!!! When she’s done, then let Obama come in and be the “savior” and TRULY turn this country around. If he gets in there now, he’ll NEVER be able to “undo” what Bush has done and all the white folks will be saying, “See, we knew a “darkie” could handle being President.” Let Hillary go first. Obama in ‘12 or ‘16!!!!!

I liked him from the Oprah interview last year, and the times that I’ve heard him speak and what I’ve read. It sounds sad but I usually vote for the lesser of all the evils. We all know that in politcs they play alot of games and maybe he has to give in one area to get support for something else. But will do some more research cause I am planning on voting for him.

#61, You are correct. Obama could actually pull this thing off.
As a bit of context — the ‘powers that be’ have already been ‘market testing’ the reception of a Black President for years via the popular television show ‘24′. Liberal whites in Hollywood has been supporting the idea.
Following, they have shown two (2) Black Presidents and both have been extremely well received by the American public.
Now, polls (which you can always take with grain of salt) over the past year consistently reflect that Americans prefer a Black Male over a White Female as President (by a slim margin).

#62, Washington DC ‘experience’ is the LAST thing you should want in any elected official. I am very serious about that.
That ‘experience’ only means that special interests, lobbyists, and ‘black mailers’ have had a longer time to shape that elected officials ideas and actions. You do not want that.

With all due respect
Barack Obama has raised $34 Million
Hilary Clinton has raised $33 Million
here’s proof:
http://www.cnn.com/2007/P...paign.money.ap/index.html
* By the way,
Barack Obama has been a Senator for about 2 years
Hilary Clinton has been a Senator for about 4 years
They actually have about a equal amount of experience in Political Office
* It’s really not fair that people say because Hilary Clinton was a “First Lady” for 8 years that she’s more experienced than Barack Obama..Being First Lady does not require any knowledge or special skillsets.
Being a First Lady is not an elected office

As First Lady of the United States, she took a more prominent position in policy matters than many before her. Her major initiative, the Clinton health care plan, failed to gain approval by the U.S. Congress in 1994, but she was successful in other areas, such as establishing the Children’s Health Insurance Program in 1997. In 1996 she became the first First Lady to be subpoenaed to testify before a Federal grand jury, as a consequence of the Whitewater scandal; however she was never charged with any wrongdoing in this or several other investigations during the Clinton administration. The state of her marriage to Bill Clinton was the subject of considerable public discussion following the events of the Lewinsky scandal in 1998.
And Bill, just so that you know, her plan for healthcare, Canada used it as a blueprint and they now have one of the most successful healthcare policy…you see I’m not just trying to discredit Obama for no reason…he has no experience! And another thing, Hillary has money prior to running for presidency…

Bill,
Thats what I was thinking, Obama would be excellent in the White House…I believe him and Hillary would be a great team. However, Hillary is very conservative as far as a Democratic candidate is concerned….she is damn near Republican forreal. If she was President, she would most definitely need a strong VP to balance things out…
Alot of people think that just b.cuz Hillary is Bill’s wife she will have the same concepts and Bill will “help” her run the country…Hillary is completely to the left of Bill Clinton, and she actually assisted him with running the nation back in the day. I still love the fact she is a strong woman, who is intelligent and very capable of making good decisions for this country…she is fearless, almost a political tyrant.

Lyndon Johnson was a President who had More experience than any other President
(he spent over 20 years in Congress) but his Presidential Term was deemed a failure because of the United States involvement with Vietnam.
We may need someone as President who has a fresh perspective and new ideals.
Someone who hasn’t been beaten down & wartered down by Political Parties, or someone who is beholden to a certain mindset.
Although I do admit,Having Hilary Clinton as President would be great, because Bill Clinton would be wispering in her ear, giving her good sound advice
But
I think we need a fresh perspective, a differrent outlook.
We already had Bill Clinton as President.
Hilary Clinton is going to run the exact same campaign and have the exact same viewpoints.
It’s time for something different.
It’s time for a President that is concerned about Our Community & ALL communities.
*I’m NOT saying that Hilary Clinton doesn’t like Black People
Hilary Clinton is one of the most Progressive Canidates that I have seen SINCE Bill Clinton.
She’s actually JUST LIKE Bill Clinton in HER efforts to appeal to Black Voters
Respectfully,
Bill

Bush lied to Hilary & us (the American people) how is she to blame for being lied to? And all the qualities that you listed to describe Obama, does Hilary not have these same qualities?

It’s 2007 and black people in America still refuse to not allow themselves to be suckered. The black community has devolved to the level where they know how wicked the system is but they still endorse it, so what does that make you? The main reason why the other races come to America and surpass the blacks is because they know that America is not about it’s democracy, it’s about forming alliances and taking what you can for you and yours. As long as blacks continue to wait and hope on a politician to save them, they’ll remain in the bottom of the barrel. Like Yusef X said, just for whites to endorse and get behind this man is an indicator of his true allegiances. I mean please.

#84, Hillary went ‘along for the ride’ like almost all the other ‘experienced’ politicians when faced with Bush obvious lies and distortions. She is extremely intelligent (as you accurately noted) — she knew BETTER. She did not stand up when the country needed her. Bush didn’t fool anyone with common sense.
And, when she was LATER asked would she do it again (given the later public info), she said that she would!
It wasn’t until MUCH LATER (campaign time) that she said that her vote was a mistake.
She chose the politically expedient and intellectually lazy route. She (like all the other ‘experienced’ politicians) did not foresee the nightmare their fear and complicity would cause.
…Obama wasn’t even in DC and he sure as hell figured it out and called “bullshit” on the matter when Hillary and the rest of the ‘experienced’ politicians let us get abused by Bush.

Thank you Bill & Windwalker1313, I couldn’t agree more.
I’m so sick of people saying Barack has no experience and treating Hillary as if she’s some expert. Hillary is an intellegent woman - no doubt, but her experience is in being a long time washington insider and that’s the reason why she has no backbone and has zero innovation. Any drive or principle she had in her as a young first lady is long gone. She is politics as usual and a far worse choice than Obama. I live in New York, she’s my junior senator and I haven’t been impressed to say the least. And lets not forget, she sent our solidiers to Iraq. Don’t let her jump on the bash President bush bandwagon because she is just as complicit. You can’t tell me “sorry I sent our troops to war, i was lied too”. If I knew this was a shame, some of your colleauges knew this was a shame, local politicians knew this was a shame, activist, academics, experts knew this was a shame and the rest of the world knew this was a shame….why didn’t you? If people are prepared to by her lies and pandering that’s fine, but I refuse to entertain that foolishness from her or anyone else from the democratic party. Because when the time came to make a difficult decision, she like so many other democrats once again proved they have no backbone. I don’t elect people to go with the flow, especially when it involves the lives of so many. I’m not interested in elected followers, I want to elect a leader.
Also, for those of you who “need to hear more” ab Barack, please understand that your not going to “hear” more unless you go out and seek the information. There is plenty of information out there on Barack and there are enough articles in the news papers as well. He has already participated in election debates against Hillary and he participated in the most recent debate moderated by Tavis Smiley and other journalist of color. Please stop buying into the media’s “barack has no experience” “what does he stand for” spin. Guilini has no experience either, he was only a mayor, and to many new yorkers, not a good one. what exactly qualifies him or a host of the other candidates.
In all honesty, my pres. choice is a tie between Dennis Kucinich and Obama. Obama however is the more polished, more likely to win candidate of the two and I think there is something to be said for having a change in the face of the white house as well. Hillary, doesn’t even factor in. I’ll only vote for her, if my choices dwindle down to her or someone worse as was the case in the last election.

I have to admit that I did enjoy your passage about how awful and spineless Hilary is but you made no valid points about Obama at all! If you ask anybody (white, black etc,) why Obama is a better candidate I can almost guarantee you that other than him being a man of color they have no knowledge of his ‘leadership qualities’ nor his plans for this country. And then you have the audacity to say that Hilary is a follower? Everyone on this thread is so quick to say that Obama ‘08 yet they need Bill to direct them to sites where YOU have to find info about him! Why should we have to search for info to determine if he’s good for the job…shouldn’t he be campaigning in these ‘black communities’? No one on this thread knows anything about him…NOTHING!

I’m sorry, but I am Hillary’s constiuent. She is my Senator. The purpose of my post was to address the constant praise and faith she is getting for what I consider to be a mediocre job - at best. Not to do a side by side comparison of her and Barack. I’m not here on this blog to campaign for Barack, which is exactly why I didn’t use my post to do so. I wanted address the fact that the media has created a spin that is painting Hillary Clinton as this principled and quaified candidate when it is absolutly incorrect. If I wanted to campaign for somebody on this site it would be Kucinich, just for the simple fact most people aren’t goning to get to here is message. Especially since Ms. Clinton herself and Mr. Edwards were just caught working to keep him and other candidates out of the next presidental debate - (real believers in democracy).
I was first introduced to Barack through his communitity organizing long before he was a candidate and even felt then that this man has the vision and the creativity that this country needs. He is very much a leader and he know how to lead from the ground up. My interest in him goes far beyond his being black and I find it ridiculous for you to assume that people on this site are only interested in him for that reason. We have never had a president that was non-white and non-male in our entire countries history. If you ask me it’s not us who are the one’s pre-occupied with race - I it’s the other way around.
Furthermore, please point me to these people who are so knowledgeable about Ms. Clinton’s record? Most people, I’ve encountered are interested in her for 2 reasons - she’s a woman and Bill Clinton. There are a lot of non-educated voters in this country, however it’s only when Obama’s in question that people question a supporters intentions. Once again, this is a result of this constant spin Obama’s getting - being painted as an unqualified candidate. Even if I wasn’t an Obama supporter i felt it was worth mentioning, because Hillary is getting a free pass. To call people on this site followers completely overlooks the fact that Hillary supporters are doing the same. Just because you support Obama, it doesn;t mean your just going w/ the flow. America is a country of legions of uneducated voters who support a whole bunch of candidates.
Also, Obama has campiagned in the black community and he has an entire year to continue to do so? So once again, I don’t get your point? Therefore I will restate my point which was, that if you want to learn about a candidate you need to be interested in doing so them. How many people watched the last debate? It was on public television, so if you have a t.v. or an AM radio you had access to listening to him and hillary and a whole bunch of other candidates go toe toe? The also expicilty discussed race and blakc america. The information is out there, for every candidate, but it’s not going to just fall in your lap. If you plan to vote (for whomeever), you should take you time to be informed. Maybe if more people did that this woud stop being a popularity contest. That’s what got us into the mess where in in the first place.

These people that are saying is the better candidate can’t tell me off hand why…they have to direct me to a site…that says nothing about why he’s the better candidate…

But I can’t let ignorance fester so I’m gonna rehash it once again for ya, only this time I’m gonna have a friend explain it better.. “you almost seem confident in your conviction.. “almost” lol specially If I knew what that were. The reason allot of folks associate mrs Clinton with the golden years of bills rein is because behind every strong man, is an even stronger woman. Hilary has exceed on her own because of her brilliance- Bill saw it and embraced her - other New Yorkers saw this and have done the same- if you had something legitimate to say I’d think you’d said it and not babbled along saying nothing. Yes this is a democracy and you as the “informed” American you say you are should know that not everyone that think they got something to say can say it during this limited time of the democratic debate- if that were the case then the real candidates wouldn’t have time to speak so get real. And you stated that Hilary and Edwards are the ones blocking this idiot from speaking - then clearly you didn’t get the memo that Obama is too. Ok, You’re entitle to support anyone you chose to support- if Hilary’s not your gurl then so be- but its pretty obvious to me that it’s easier for you to tell me were to obtain info at on obama because you have nothing of substance to add on your own”

@ Angel_Minded
You know, if your going to have other people speak for you, you should make sure they have something to contribute to the conversation. I think you were doing much better on your own.
If you want sumise Ms. Clinton’s record to “behind every good man is a good woman”, that’s fine, but that’s not how I choose to vote. Furthermore, as much of a good president Clinton was, there was much about his record (& i’m not talking about the scandals) that could be called into question to, so in defense of Ms. Clinton, I would actually stray away from that argument. The same way you claim people praise Obama uniformed is the same way the praid Bill, there’s a lot of hype there - trust me.
Furthermore, if you or your friend are interested in continuing to support an election process that doesn’t allow for a real discussion of issues and lets candidates ride on being “a good woman to their man” then that’s fine, but to my knowledge it was Edwards and Clinton who were caught on tape discussing blocking other candidates and it was their campaigns that had already started working on that prior to being caught on tape. No where have I heard about Obama’s involvment and even if he was involved, that does not clean Hillary’s hands - so what’s you point. There are plenty of other serious candidates, who have considerable support but don’t have the star power and resources. I’m sorry, but I would like to hear from them instead of just the candidates we have been force fed. Yes - that is what one should expect in a democracy and that is what Ms. Clinton and crew should expect as well as candidate. Because in a debate its not about who has the better ad or the biggest smile, its about listening to candidates challenge each other and their are serious candidates that can pose a good challenge in ideas. As a candidate she should want to be challenged and want American’s to hear an actual discussion of issues, not a sound bite. We haven’t even had primaries yet, how dear anyone tell us voters that we don’t need to hear from someone else!
And last but not least. You keep on knocking Obama supporters for leading you external websites for information, but you yourself have provided no information on Hillary. If you consider cutting and pasting information from wikepedia as you did in previous post providing information, than I hope you do a little more reasearch before you step into the voting both. The point of directing people to outside infomation is so that they can make their own informed decisions about a candidate as supposed to debating over cherry picked cut and paste information. If you do now know much about Obama, don’t assume everyone else doesn’t either. I’ve taken the time to be informed on all the hopefulls, even the obsure ones, this is why I can talk about Ms. Clinton in confidence. She’s not the worse of bunch at all, and she has a lot to be respected for, but she is in no way shape or form the most qualified and the best suited for president.

hahaha…
sweetie, once again YOU have contributed nothing to the conversation, you have in turned wrote up, yet again, another passage not really stating anything. When I posted that information from Wilkepedia it was to further dictate my point on her efforts to install a new healthcare plan for the US. which, as I stated in a previous post, that Canada used it as their blueprint and they now have one of the most successful healthcare systems…in the world…in laymans terms Hilary is brillant. But yet, as my friend stated, you can give no examples of how brillant Obama is. You stated in your earlier posts that Obama was creative and innovative…you have yet to give me any examples…instead you choose to babble about how mediocre of a job that Hillary’s done and how Obama is creative w/ new insightful ideas for how to lead this country…sweetie, I’m still waiting…lol. And I don’t need to post large articles or tell you were to look to furthere edcuate yourself on Mrs Clinton, because her reputation and history preceedes her…she doesn’t have anything to prove…Obama does. If your gonna post large essays, then I’m gonna need you to post something about Obama that’s relevant to issues that our countriy’s facing…thanks! LOL.
Oh and btw, if you knew anything about Hilary, besides her forgiving Bill for getting blowjobs, then you would know that she did tons of stuff as a first lady way more than Obama could accomplish in a lifetime! For instance she started tution reimbursements for minorities, got funding for afterschool programs…I could go on and on…and it’s funny that YOU should think that she’s mediocre seeing as how all the things that she accomplished while in the White House benefited the minorities (blacks) the most! I’m beginng to see that women hate women…it’s a damn shame, that you could tear her down with such ignorance yet back up an opponent w/ no or little evidence to support your claims…unbelievable!

Wow, your discussing how woman don’t support each other, but you begin your post by reffering to me as sweetie. I think I’ve been quite respectful, but to each it’s own.
Also, do you really know anything about the Canadian Healthcare system? Do you know anything about Tommy Douglass, the act of 72 or the more recent healthcare acts. Are you seriously trying to credit Hillary Clinton with creating Canda’s healthcare system. If you are, I’m even more frightend!? And she isn’t campaining for universal healthcare now so what’s your point exactly? All of the new healthcare programs institued in NY state for the underinsured were at the hands of our governer and state assembly, which she had no involvment in, so once again, what’s your point?
The things I stated in my post are clear and I’m not going to do what you did and rattle off accomplisments without giving the proper supporting information for the type of critical analysis required for a vote. I’m also not going to be tested on my Obama knowledge, this is not a trivia game, it’s an election.
I also find it interesting that you define my critique of Ms. Clinton as another example of woman not supporting each other. I guess with that logic a critique of Barack would equate to blacks not supporting each other? I’m smart enough not to think this way and I would hope that would be the case with anyone planning to vote.
This discussion is long over, because from the looks of your last post, your clearly getting defensive, hence, there’s no more conversation to be had. I’ve made my, point, loud and clear as have a few other. You cast your vote, I’ll cast mine.

I’m sorry you lost me at your point about NY healthcare? What does one have to do w/ the other? Hilary’s plan for US heathcare was shot down…it was never implented in the US so your whole point about NY healthcare…to me is pointless…but whatever…and btw, I only get defensive when ignorant people try to make ‘logical’ points…but uhh thanks for the debate…

* forgot to add. why haven’t you asked me to rattle off Kucinch’s accomplishments? I said I was his supporter as well as did someone else on this site? Why not questions about him?
Why is it so inconceivable that black people support Obama because they like his politics, the same way they like Clinton’s, Kucinches or anyone elses. I find it insulting that when a black candidate is running for office, his loyalties are only chalked up to race, although white people have been running for office and electing each other in this country for 100 hundreds.
THAT’s why I won’t defend my support for Obama, because it shouldn’t have to be defended. If people were interested in learning more information about him that’s one thing, but these questions are for the sole purpose of testing someones knowledge as if Obama’s such a terrible candidate it is inconcievable why some would vote for him. I refuse to participate in the logic that perpetuates this idea where black people have to constantly prove themseleve while white are given the benefit of the doubt. Especially when the person doing the questioning is supporting a candidate who they themselves have still provided no real information about. And from the looks of your post I know a lot more about YOUR candidate than you do and not just the bad things, the good things as well. I voted for her when she ran for senate and I have been dissapointed since she got into office. I know a lot about Ms. Clinton and her record as my work has interesected with a lot of her bad and good decisions, so your discussion is better spent on someone who is uniformed.

ok, so now i’m ignorant. no need to continue this discussion. The point on NY healthcare was in relationship to her role as a NY Senator to bring federal dollars in for healthcare initiatives in the state she’s elected to represent. See, my point wasn;t about what she tried to do in the past and failed at, but what she was doing now, in the present.
when people have nothing of substance to contribute they result to insults. I’m far from and I’m certainly not go to defend my intellengence over the internet. I also have enough class not to resorting to insulting people over the internet so Angel_Minded, I hope you enjoy the rest of your day and have a great weekend.

chillin in ny - now look who’s getting defensive…lol
In my earlier post to Bill, I stated that as black people we are and have always been expected to be better than the average white person because we are the most hated race. So we always have to prove that we are equal and can compete w/ them on their level. And as for your statement about how my comment about women hatin women can be compared to blacks not supporting blacks, I say this to you, I don’t support people (regardless of color) whom I don’t believe are qualified for the job. This makes me un-bias.
Also, this isn’t a game of who knows Obama the best, I’m not trying to test your knowledge of his accomplishments. I don’t know anything about Obama, as far as, why he’s the better canidate…but when I see you posting these comments about how creative and innovative he is, it makes me wonder where your getting your info, in addition, to what he’s done to make you think that he has these qualities. And when you write these long paragraphs saying that Hilary is mediocre I get seriously offended because I already know of her accomplishments and to me, they were in no way mediocre…so my whole point was, is that if your gonna praise him at least give me examples of why you feel that way, so that I in turn will possibly change my positions…or become more educated.
And then your whole point on her plan for healthcare was complete bs, I don’t know why you started babbling about NY but Canada did take ideas from her proposal and there is nothing wrong w/ their heathcare…and if you’ve seen such films as ‘Sicko” you would already know that we have a fcked up healthcare system…45 million americans w/ healthcare…so please explain what was the point of that post?

we are a 3 branch country, checks and balance. Executive-President, Legislative the houses and Judicial the Courts.
Presidents appoint judges to the Supreme Court, Houses are run by the majority. It’s all a game. I personally want someone new to the presidency seat. I like what I’ve learned about Obama. H Clinton gives me a sneaky vibe and always has. The republicans have had their chances.

I have seen Sicko and i loved it….and yes our healthcare system is f*cked up. So exactly what is your point? Canada had public healthcare, long before Hillary Clinton was first lady and she did not revolutionalize their public healthcare system and didn’t revolutionize ours for that matter either. Furthermore she is not campaigning for universal healthcare and in her current role as an elected representative she has done little to ensure access to healthcare for her constituency or the country as a whole. Hillary has said she’s ready to tak on the insurance companies, well she has the perfect oppourutnity to right now. United Healthcare has been trying to instute a ranking system that will essentially cheat doctors and patients and beneift them all around the country to much resistance and now its finnally made it to NY. Our attny general is prepared to prosecute and our elected officials are ready for the battle, but where’s Ms. Clinton? I guess you can’t take on the same insurance compaines that are funding your campaign?
Neither Clinton or Barack are campaigning for truely free universal health care, but Barack’s plan is much more progressive and also calls for garunteed eligibility for prexisitng conditions and portability. Two very important things, in addition to affordablitity. So once again, I don’t get your point. If you going to argue about Hillary’s record on healthcare you have to recognize that 1. she failed in her first attempt 2. has not done anything to make up for it as a legislature and 3. does not have the most progressive healthcare plan as she campaigns for president.

That’s extremely nice of Oprah. Black people UNITE! Obama WILL be president of ‘08, whether America is ready or not! Racism or no racism!
People say that if Hillary is elected President of ‘08, he’ll make Obama his VP……..I DOUBT IT! I don’t trust white people when it comes to doing anything positive for a black person. But I do think that if Obama is elected President of ‘08, he’ll make hilary his VP! Either way, we need both people in office to clean up the damages!

Thank you sis, as usual, you get the point. Negroes are trying to dig, research, and if need be fabricate information that justifies them voting for Obama other than him being “black” because they’re scared of being called racist. Black people have become so weak. Especially the brothers. Alot of ya’ll should be ashamed of yourselves. In 2000 it was Gore, in 2004 it was Kerry, and now it’s Obama who’s the new messiah.

@ 62 Angel_Minded
I completely agree about the $$ aspect. Once it was reported that Obama out-raised Hillary people ran with it as though he had the most $$. Hillary even carried over $10 million from her bid for the Senate. She even has more cash on hand than all the Republican candidates together. So, Hillary has more cash on hand, but Obama has raised more than she did.
I really didn’t want to get into a political debate today so that’s why I just said “Good for Oprah” in my initial post.
Now let me continue reading the comments…

Thank chillin in ny, for your post about Obama’s plans for our healthcare system…see was that so hard? LOL. I never said that Hilary revolutionized Canda’s healthcare system I was simply stating that they implented some of her ideas into their own healthcare system…so sorry if I said that they used her ‘exact’ system, because they didn’t. But my point is till valid, had her system been implented then maybe our current healthcare wouldn’t be as fcked up. I never said that Hilary (or Obama) were currently advocating universal healthcare, I was only stating things that she had done while she was in the white house…I am not up to speed on her current achievements…but trust I’m sure they are up to par. I’m just curious as why you have used soo much effort (and no actual evidence) to support Obama? What has he done to make you fight me soo hard on these issues? I mean you’ve stated that he has nothing to do w/ race but I’m starting to believe differently…

@ 132…Your right our healthcare system would be in better shape if her plan went through, but it didn’t and she has no current plan for universal health care. Kucinich on the other hand is the only candidate with a universal healthcare plan. Barack’s plan comes in a close second. I think I’ve made my point on Obama, Hillary and Kucinich clear enough. I’m headed off to get some drinks. Everyone have a great friday nite!
