Wow! It’s a really slow week in black celebrity news. Here are some random stories we forgot to post about earlier this week. Hopefully next week is more eventful.
Usher was spotted leaving Hollywood hot spot ‘Area’ with an unidentified woman on July 4th. The woman who was not his pregnant fiance Tameka Foster held his hand as they left the club. The wife of comedian Wayne Brady has filed for divorce. Mandie Brady cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for ending their marriage, according to court documents filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court. She is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old daughter, Maile. [TMZ]
TRACEY SAYS SHE & EDDIE ARE STILL TOGETHER
Tracey Edmonds is shooting down rumors that she and Eddie Murphy and have split up, saying the couple are actually “very happy.” Rumors surfaced this week that the couple had broken up due to the stress of the paternity case between Murphy and his former girlfriend, Spice Girl Melanie Brown. “I did hear about the false rumor. That is absolutely not true,” Edmonds, a film producer who started dating Murphy last fall said.
On June 22, a rep for Brown announced that DNA tests proved Murphy is the father of Brown’s 2-month-old daughter, Angel Iris. Murphy’s rep declined to comment on the test results. However, Edmonds, whose divorce from singer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds was finalized in June, said that “the paternity test had no impact on our relationship.” [SOURCE]

The biggest thing to happen to Wayne Brady, outside of winning an emmy or 2, was appearing on the Chappelle show. If he hadn’t been in that hilarious sketch neither him nor his divorce would be on the radar right now.

For some reason I like Tracy Edmonds, she has been in this industry for a while and knows the ins and outs of the whole game, and is a beautiful woman who can hold her own. And she chose to stay by her man at a low period. He did not cheat, he just got out of a bad situation and she is helping him get over the consequences. Yes it might of been bad the way he dealt with Mel B, but I am sure she knew what he said and how he viewed Mel’s behviour in and around Hollywood.

Well..My slant on the situation is this:
Maneka pressured Usher into firing his Mom Manager
Maneka pressured Usher into getting engaged by getting pregnant
Maneka is getting a lot of Bad press for her vindictive ways
Maneka is getting a lot of bad press for being ugly (inside & out).
All of those things combined can cause a Man to Cheat or at least sniff around.
It’s Not entirely Usher fault.
He’s in a relationship with a woman that tells him what to do..She is manipulating him
Maneka has painted him into a corner.
When SOME Men are caged in, this is a textbook example (Usher being seen publically with another woman) on how he will respond…..
This is how SOME men respond when they are “made” to do things they do want to do…

The more mature & intelligent man would simply communicate to his mate that he’s uncomfortable with their present relationship, and he would like to have it (the relationship) dissolved.

And why is there such a high standard of beauty placed on women in a relationship but if the man is ugly and preferably has money-he’s all of a sudden cute in his own way?

I think you know how I feel about Black Woman Bailey, and I think you know that I would never go out of my way to label someone as “ugly” unless I truely felt that way.
