Word on the street is that friends and family of Foxy Brown haven’t seen or heard from her in more than a week. I guess she wanted some time to hide out after that “rumored” beatdown she got. Foxy’s lawyer told the NY Post:
“She’s probably getting some much needed rest,” said Sampson. “She’s been given authorization to travel and she could be working on her album. She is trying to get her album done. Depending on whom she’s working with, she could be anywhere.”

Okay, the main and probably only reason why they (Disney) wants Beyonce for Aida, besides the fact that she starred in Dreamgirls and has musical experience, is b/c she’s the biggest blk female pop star out there. Like they say “the hottest chic in the game.” With Beyonce playing in the movie as the title role this is already promoting the movie because HELLO, its Beyonce. Her fame will make this movie big.
Now for her acting, she has a lot to improve on if she plans on carrying this movie by herself, being the lead role. She better get a good acting coach to get her out of her stiffness. Disney definitely did not choose her b/c of her acting.

Beyonce needs to find a movie role where she is not singing in. Every movie she has been in she has a singing role. Get a solid role with no singing and then we can be able to judge your acting talent correctly. She needs to step out of her comfort zone and ACT in a movie with No singing.
The name of the play is AIDA……not Dreamgirls/the rise of Effie White! So good for her to get an AUTHENTIC lead! Go Beyonce! This is ALL over the REAL blogs, and Disney is said to be aggressive in going after her……Dreamgirls DID pay off for Beyonce!
And I KNOW she can kill the score….and I hope she gets her acting DOWN this time…..she will have some love scenes too.
Now, I AM wondering if the Cleopatra scene in Dreamgirls AND the Bee as African woman scene helped get Bee considered….I know FOR sure the Dreamgirls box office AND the DVD sales DID help! But “STAR POWER” in the music industry does NOT NECESSARILY always cross over as the same “STAR POWER” in the movies. Even though she is a big star in the music world, it doesn’t mean she will be as successful as a head-liner in the movies. There are very few real “MOVIE STARS” that can open a film and even fewer women. Yea, this could either Help, or Hurt the movie, b/c honestly, Im tired of seeing Beyonce everywhere and im sure a lot of people are too. So people might not want to see it if it is Beyonce playing AIDA.
but think about it, this all depends on WHEN The movie comes out. If Beyonce keeps a low profile for a year, which is how long it takes for movies to come out after production, then after a year people wont be as tired of her.
I too picture AIDA as a darkskinned woman. I would like to see Beyonce as a darkskinned woman in this movie like we saw in Dreamgirls in that one scene. She loooked good. But maybe making her darker like that may be a bit overboard. I dont know.
