One Chance – Turn Back the Time (full) – download
In all honesty, I cannot make too many complaints when it comes to One Chance. I thought that people would pretty much be over the whole male R&B group thing, but they work with great producers and pretty good songwriters. Not only that, but after seeing these boys live, I know they can sing. “Turn Back the Time” is a nice ballad, and they sound good – so I can’t even front. Their album, Private, however, still has no release date. Let’s hope that Usher puts some push behind these guys so that they can get that album off the shelf. Supposedly, they’re releasing a new single before the summer’s up, ’cause “Look At Her” is super old now, and didn’t do as well as people thought it would…
Sterling Simms – By the Hand (full) – download
Ugh! This kind of thing makes me really upset. It’s like you take a couple of steps forward, just to take a couple of steps backwards. “Jump Off,” which was Sterling’s first single, was not worth… anything in my opinion. I thought that the production was mediocre, as well as the writing, regardless of how nice I think his voice is. But then he impressed me with both the song and video for “Nasty Girl.” The production was on point and his falsetto was crazy. Let’s just say “By the Hand” pretty much sounds like the slightly-cooler cousin of “Jump Off” (which wasn’t cool at all). And that’s not a good look.

Lil’ Mama has already proved that she’s got crossover appeal with her smash single, “Lipgloss,” and the remix with Avril Lavigne of “Girlfriend.” However, I can’t really say that I’m too much digging “Make It Hot.” I think she lost me at the beginning with the faux singing, which I’ve heard that she does a lot on her debut album, which is due out soon. But you know what? I like her, I like what she’s doing, and from what I’ve read in interviews, I like what she stands for. So I’m gonna give her a chance.
M.I.A. – Boyz (full) – download
Love her or hate her, I think that M.I.A. has a great sound. This song “Boyz” is the second single from her upcoming album “Kala” which is due out soon on Interscope. The single has been around for a while, but for some reason, I’m just now finding an available version of it. M.I.A.’s music is just so much fun to me and has so much energy.
Dammit! I wish I could listen to these at work. But the sites you guys use for these posts are all blocked at my job.

As for Lil Mama, my ears could only take in the first 30 secs. after that, I hate to cut it off. It leaked a while ago. However, I do like her, I just hope the other tracks on her album will redeem this mess.

Sterling? Wow, I listened to that song and what was he saying? I heard nothing, just alot of jibber jabber and bullshit that sounded like more bullshit. I personally dont care for him. I try listening to his music, hoping it’ll get better, it never does.

Hmm, I wonder if it was Kelis singing that Boyz song instead of MIA would yall still be hatin? Personally I don’t care for either of them, but the songs isn’t bad. And for some reason MIA reminds me of how Kelis would sound if she was more about singing and less about making a spectacle (sp?) of herself.
That One Chance reminded me too much of Jagged Edge, unoriginal. And I don’t know if its my computer speaker or what, but they only sound ok (in the intro there was something really sour going on)
Someone said Lil’ Mama was for the kids, and I agree. I wouldn’t buy it for myself, but I think my 13 year old god daughter and her friends would enjoy it. And it didn’t annoy me like that Chicken Noodle Soup crap did.

I actually like Lil Mama’s song. It took me some time to get used to the ‘singing’, if that’s what u wanna call it, she probably shouldn’t have started the song off with it, that was kinda of scary.

M.I.A. is hot fire, and the video is awesome as well. If you’re someone who likes reggae you’ll enjoy the video, it was shot in Jamaica I believe. Other than that this other stuff, I’m not that interested in. I think people are so used to hearing craplike A bay bay, their eardrums can’t handle a different sound.

That Miracle Jackson clip was a hott ass mess, but don’t hate on the beat. I’m from Philly and believe it or not that music “House”, “B-More Club” whatever, is what’s hott in the streets here.
