Easily one of my favorite club bangers out now, I’m glad they took “Tambourine” to the next level, because although I think it’s loved by many a DJ doing a Swizz Beatz mix (complete with “Get Me Bodied,” “Bring ‘Em Out” and “It’s Me, Snitches!”), I don’t think it got as much love as it should have. Hopefully with this remix, it’ll get the play that it needs, even though Eve is pushing the new single with Sean Paul.

Somebody please explain to me why the Black Eyed Peas broke up? Because individually, I feel like Will.I.Am and Fergie’s music both sound exactly the same as when they were together. It’s almost a little embarrassing. Even though this says Nicole (from PCD), it still sounds like Fergie to me. Maybe I’m just a hater, but I think they were just better off together – even though Fergie’s The Dutchess did have a nice run on the charts for a while with some successful singles. Will.I.Am’s rap at the end is kinda funny though.

I hope that Chris Brown doesn’t fall into the “I’mma Flirt” trap, because if that were to happen, I think I’d just die. I understand that T-Pain is what’s up, but goodness gracious, if he or R. Kelly pollute anybody else, I think I might roll over and die. I’m not really mad at this song, though. Chris still stays age appropriate. He’s just such a kid to me. I just don’t want to end up being mad at him because I’m actually a fan. It looks from his material, though, that Chris will be avoiding the dreaded sophomore slump.

Just decided to post this up for anyone who didn’t have it. A couple of days ago, Tianna posted this new video from Rihanna, which I thought was rather boring and doesn’t do the song any justice. I was surprised to see that they actually premiered it on 106 & Park, considering that it doesn’t seem “urban” friendly to me. “Please Don’t Stop the Music,” however, is a great dance song. Heard it in the club last night and it really went off. It was quite interesting.

Chris Brown- It’s time to hang up the mic. He was never a good singer. This song is missing a hella lot of something and is just all wrong. He’ll be fading away sooner than I thought.
Rihanna- The only reason why they shot a video for this song was to appeal more to the urban audience because she will lose most of the urban audience with this pop album. There are only a few hip-hop & R&B songs. Make up your mind Rihanna, you’re either pop or R&B and hip-hop. The song’s okay but it’s sounds like a mix between Pon De Replay and SOS.

Some songs are best left alone such as “Tambourine” the remix sucks in my opinion and it lost the natural party feel to me with such wack rappers like Missy. I also did not like Fab’s verse he should have done better. I used to love the Black Eyed Peas before Fergie (even though Fergie is talented ) however, since she’s joined two things have happened, the Black Eyes Peas are so commercial now that I consider them a pop group rather than hip hop and also Fergie decided to rap more than sing and she is wasting the beautiful voice that she has. Nicole is a big disappointment for me because she is also wasting her voice on nonsense songs such as this one and the others that she has sung on. Chris Brown needs some more writers if he wants to have some meaningful longevity in this business because it is quite possible to make age appropriate songs that are not so simplistic and hum drum. I like Rhianna’s song but she should try and get some singing lessons so her voice won’t sound so nasally or may be that is impossible to do I just don’t know. Overall , the music has been so weak not only by these artists but many in the industry right now so I ‘ll just stick with my soul, jazz and real r&b musicians.

The reason Eve’s song is not blowing up yet is because she is not promoting the song enough yet. I think she only performed Tambourine at the BET Awards pre-show and that was it. I don’t Fergie “copied” Gwen’s voice at all. Gwen really isn’t a good singer (she only makes catchy songs). When she wants to, Fergie can reeeeeeeeally belt it out. She has a great voice (like someone earlier mentioned)….however, for some weird reason, Fergie would rather rap instead…

Chris Brown…..typical. All of his songs sound a like to me. He’s a greeeat dancer, and, I guess, a decent singer, but I’ve always found his voice replaceable. It’s not very unique and you can find it anywhere.
