Cassie was supposedly working on a new album due out in the fall, but this song isn’t from it. “Is It You?” is actually taken from the soundtrack for the sequel to the movie, “Step Up.” I honestly admit that I can see where this song was going, regardless of how much I hate Cassie’s lack of vocal ability. I like the feel of the track, which I’m sure was produced by her alleged boyfriend and producer, Ryan Leslie. It feels like a soundtrack song to me though.

I haven’t really been excited by the lot of J. Holiday’s music that I’ve heard besides, “Bed,” and a couple of other tracks I really like this song. It’s simple, and it just displays his vocal ability really well. I like the doo-wop direction that this song is going, and the boy really does have a set of pipes on him. I guess this has sort of revived my excitement for Back of My Lac, out October 2nd.

This is really good background music. I can honestly say that the only voice that I like on this is The Dream’s, the rest just leave me cold. Never really been a fan of T-Pain or Akon, but this song really is just a cool groove song. I like being in the club, after a lot of dancing – this is your cool down song. Even though I’m not a fan, I can’t deny the “catchiness” of the whole thing.

I initially was in love with the song just off of the strength that Kanye used one of my favorite songs from Daft Punk. But then he went and threw 50 on it. And even though I’m not fond of 50, I kind of like where this remix is going. But I think that’s just because Kanye really did put out a good song. To me, nothing can mess up the way he freaked that sample.

Poor Kanye Stronger is number 2 on Itunes, and now starting this week Billboard changed its rule. Airplay is worth more than downloads, where as, downloads use to be worth twice the amount of airplay. Now it’s Airplay (55%) Downloads (40%) Streaming (5%).
Her voice is still horrible as I dont know what, I dont undertstand how this girls get to release albums and singles and getting to act in movies by being so talentless…I’m sure there are tons of stuggling actors who would love to star in “Step Up” yet they give the role to a her wack self???
