Cassie was supposedly working on a new album due out in the fall, but this song isn’t from it. “Is It You?” is actually taken from the soundtrack for the sequel to the movie, “Step Up.” I honestly admit that I can see where this song was going, regardless of how much I hate Cassie’s lack of vocal ability. I like the feel of the track, which I’m sure was produced by her alleged boyfriend and producer, Ryan Leslie. It feels like a soundtrack song to me though.
J. Holiday – Don’t Wanna Lose (full) – download
I haven’t really been excited by the lot of J. Holiday’s music that I’ve heard besides, “Bed,” and a couple of other tracks I really like this song. It’s simple, and it just displays his vocal ability really well. I like the doo-wop direction that this song is going, and the boy really does have a set of pipes on him. I guess this has sort of revived my excitement for Back of My Lac, out October 2nd.
T-Pain feat. The Dream & Akon – Bartender (Remix) (full) – download
This is really good background music. I can honestly say that the only voice that I like on this is The Dream’s, the rest just leave me cold. Never really been a fan of T-Pain or Akon, but this song really is just a cool groove song. I like being in the club, after a lot of dancing – this is your cool down song. Even though I’m not a fan, I can’t deny the “catchiness” of the whole thing.
Kanye West feat. 50 Cent – Stronger (Remix) (full) – download
I initially was in love with the song just off of the strength that Kanye used one of my favorite songs from Daft Punk. But then he went and threw 50 on it. And even though I’m not fond of 50, I kind of like where this remix is going. But I think that’s just because Kanye really did put out a good song. To me, nothing can mess up the way he freaked that sample.
Instead of hating on 50′s creativity, maybe you should think and understand that HE didn’t just record the song with Kanye. Some threw his verse on the song, you really think Fif would work with Kanye?

i don’t care for any of the songs. Cassie i don’t even see as being an artist. j.holiday i have to show love just cause he’s from the dc area. i’m not all excited about this song, but i’m still gonna get the album. t-pain-whatever. and 50 verse did nothing at all to make the song even more better he might as well not even been on the track.
I can’t believe some people are still on looks for talent. Assie is nothing but a ho who slept with Diddy and Ryan to get in the industry. Is it You sucks big time. I was laughing at the song and hoped it would be her first single so she could fail even more with her sophomore album. I also laugh at the fact that she’s considered an R&B singer, literally. Like when I hear singer, I’m like huh? I’m mad that we’ll be seeing her on MTV and 106 & Park soon. Cassie go away!
All the other songs, I don’t care for. 50 and Kanye need to sit down. Both of them are fading away so it only made sense for them to do a remix/track together.
