Today, T.I. (or T.I.P., whichever he relates to more today) releases his album, T.I. vs. T.I.P. – as a T.I. fan, I fully intend to go out and support. This is T.I.’s 5th studio album. And although T.I.’s fan base is large, he didn’t really gain mainstream crossover appeal until the huge success on his third album, Urban Legend. On Vs., which is split up into “acts,” we find T.I. struggling with his more refined side, and his ego from the streets, T.I.P. At first I wasn’t too sold on the concept, because I’d heard radio interviews of T.I./T.I.P. arguing with himself on air, and that didn’t float too well with me. But I guess as far as conceptual rap albums, he’s taking a step out and doing something different from most hip hip entertainers.

I like TI…. as far as the CD i need to hear a lil bit more before I buy. But this whole split personality thing is a little bit strange. He needs to know he really is just one person lol
I always liked TI but I lost respect for him watching that fake stuff he did on stage (I got 50G’s onhis head, don’t be throwing no bottles up here) i’m rollign my eyes now but then this dude switches and says he should have won best hip hop album not Ludacris like it was Luda’s decision and on the real Luda is my baby so i cheered for him, it’s about time he was given some props but what then what does TI do punch Chaka (luda’s manager) you’ve seen Chaka like he was gonna roll up on TI and for TI to be defending hip hop saying it ain’t all bad what’s he gonna go and do, he should have been a man and say hey i’m not feeling to chat to you know get out of my face or other words but he punched him, as a icon and a father he should know better, too many kids walking around trying to be bad and gangster and that ain’t the way to be, so in a nut shell I don’t really business with TI now, I just think he should check himself and chill and no I ain’t getting his album
With this CD, I’m guessing that little things are going to what’s popping this year for T.I, sorry. not buying into the hype.

I LOVE T.I. and i’m deffinitley gonna check out his album. I really think King should’ve won the grammy for best rap album cause it was the #1 one selling album of the year and he was just so big last year and luda has had better material than release therapy.

well i got the cd. i listened to it.
its really interesting. actually the interludes are extremely crazy (literally not figuratively), and I think Clifford may need to be psychologically examined. I really think he’s battling with himself being “hollywood” instead of being the trapper from Bankhead. i think it’s worth listening to. The music, is not as catchy as that of King, or Trap Muzik, but it’s not like its garbage.
Exactly #27…its not something people will grab on like the other CDs…but its still a good listen.
I will listen to this on Rhapsody & see if I like it. The last few tracks haven’t blown me away.

This T.I vs. Tip thing is just a copycat of TYRESE and BLACKTY. And we must give credit to M&M/SlimmShady/Mathis or whatever his real name is.. My point, I love T.I I think he’s adorable. But, why in the hell TYRESE didn’t get this same love and understading of having two sides. And I don’t give a damn what yall say- The Black Ty portion of his album was good. It was his first damn rap piece and it got less support than that damn 1980′s hit “IT TAKES TWO TO MAKE A THING GO RIGHT.” Damn! We didn’t give him enough love to craft and polish this other side he wanted to bless us with. That Damn album is GREAT and he has done something no one has done and others will follow getting the support he deserved. For example- that fine ass 50 cent who is an average rapper trying to sing. Yeah @53 dunno if you know the whole story, here it goes quickly for ya, TI heard from someone that in one of Luda’s video’s he had some boy get beat up wearing TI crews (can’t remember what they called) T shirts so he went on the track and said ‘people getting beat down well that’s Ludacris’ then he straight bitched out saying i’m a fan blah blah so Luda heard about it (I think it was Young Buck’s song, can’t remember sorry) so Luda got on the track finished TI saying ‘your beef ain’t legit so lay of the TI…..P of my dick’ TI was replaced with The Game so he’s version wasn’t on the album (you can hear it on Youtube though type TI and Ludacris or Stomp it will come up,
So it turns out it wasn’t a Ludacris video it was an 1-20 track and it wasn’t the same crew name so as far as i’m concerned TI should have asked questions but no he acts like a bitch and disses him straight on the track and Luda finished him, that’s why they said they squashed it cos TI was wrong for starting it, he’s rap was weak anyway and Luda let it go, why TI wants to start things again I don’t know, but people do things to hype their album but I let that one sly with TI we all jump to conclusions sometimes but now hell no, I ain’t feeling TI no more, grow up dude!

His artist name was originally TIP but he changed it in repect for Q.Tip who was signed to the same label. Since Q.Tip is now ghost…guess he saw it as a chance to reuse his original name.
…I guess if he wanted, he coulda called himself “The artist formerly known as TI”…it worked for Prince!
This CD is a bit of dissapointment since its not as great as King….its still a Decent CD. Besides bopping my head to the music…i heard some songs that were placed in the wrong form….some shoulda been TIP…some shoulda been TI…and i was kinda hoping that since its a Versus CD that there would be a well played out rap battle against himself where the counterparts diss eachother out(not just a quick skit), but oh well…
I think the song is HOT!!!! I will be definately be buying his album. I do agree with who ever said you should only buy albums if you’re a true fan or you’d be wasting your money, but I’m a T.I. fan so I’ll have!! I mean seriously he’s the hottest rapper this summer!!!
