Keyshia Cole’s new video for the first single, “Let It Go,” featuring Missy Elliot and Lil’ Kim debuted on BET’s “Access Granted” last night. The Oakland native shows her party side with the fun-infused Missy Elliott produced track and the video was directed by Benny Boom.
Since her last album release Keyshia Cole has been busy diversifying her career. She has a starring role in the upcoming MTV film “How She Moves,” and is currently working on season two of her BET reality show called “The Way It Is 2″ which is Executive Produced by Keyshia and her manager Manny Halley.

As a person over 30….I realized what pulled me in…it feels, sounds, looks like what I loved about the 90′s; Mary and Biggie. (Remember the feel of “One More Chance”? Maybe it was deliberate; the fact that both Missy AND Kim were Keyshias road dogs in the vid, as this was the click Mary rolled with at one time (remember Kims video…’No Matter What People Say… video?)

Even though this beat has been reused many times before….I actually like the song. Let It Go is a good message for me. This song came out right on time! Looks like the girls had fun doing this video. WTH did Fat Joe want? Did he not know this was a girls anthem? Kinda strange seeing him in the video. Kim looks soooooooooo much better. But why all the ugly faces? And @ #1, I thought her hair was cute. Now Keyshia hair was a sad site.
I live in Oakland…orginally from BK. It’s nice to see Ms. Cole do her thang. There is a lot missing in the R&B game right now..if A-Keys, Mariah and Mary is all we have left (Rihanna,Beyonce, Kelly are popular music, so they don’t really count) then I think Ms. Coles is a breathe of fresh air. I was one of the “Lost Ones” who witnessed Ms. Hill’s concert meltdown at the Oakland Paramount the other week…spent mad dough to see her and to find out she is still “washed up”!
Glad to see Lil Kim back on the block. Diddy unfortunately is helping her get a record deal somewhere, and producing her new album…no news on what label is picking Kim up…either way…she is well missed in the female rap game cuz…..Remy Ma, Trina and Jacki-O are not it….and Foxy…well we will just leave that one alone and let “Jesus take the wheel” on Fox.
