VIDEO: SEAN KINGSTON – “BEAUTIFUL GIRLS”

This video actually premiered on 106 & Park a week ago, but I still wanted to post it because its hella catchy (though they cut out “suicidal” on MTV). We did a feature on Sean Kingston but, just incase this is your first time hearing about him – 17 year old Sean hails from Kingston, Jamaica.

“Beautiful Girls”, which samples one of my favorite oldies “Stand By Me” by Ben E. King, is the first single off his upcoming debut and self-titled album. Learn more about Sean at his myspace, and hear another hot cut he has called “Me Love”

  7. He’s 17 damn, he can sing, but naw not feeling this song at all to be honest

Now how is he too fat to be singing high you forget about Luther, Barry White they were chubby and had the vocals to match

I’ll wait to see what else he comes out with before I think about spending my money on his CD

  8. Annastaisha

Yeah they’ve been playing this here for a little while….kinda like it…we need a little reggae feel around here…

  9. Annastaisha

Kinda wish RiRi would do a reggae album, might be okay….might come easier that the stuff she is doing now….

  10. Lihara

lol i just heard the version with MTV cutting the sudical part…and it sounds stupid..

  11. i love this song and he can rap too…his grandfather is a reggae legend, jack ruby….

  16. twintron4

Dis fat boy got me all annoyed down here in ATL..his voice is annoying and suicide shouldnt be talked about on the radio.. oh well good to hear someone likes it. keep up the hustle at 17. just kinda sick of everybody coming out sounding like akon.

  17. Kenyanpebbles

I LOVE THE SONG AND THE VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. I first heard this song on a mix CD I got on tha strip in Myrtle Beach back in May. I feel in love with it. I especially love the beat. Now that I think of it I need to find my damn CD!

  19. the first time i saw this video i thought he was a fat girl for a sec…lol…random i know

  20. Dame

Hate it this song is horrible

  21. This song is STUPID…but…very catchy…

  22. manda

Is that Lil’ Mama in his video?

  23. D-san

In the song he says he went away for doing his first crime in 1999.

If he’s 17 now, wouldn’t that make him 9 years old in 1999?

C’mon now kid, stop lying. LISTEN TO LYRICS SOMETIMES PEOPLE!!!

  24. when i 1st heard the song i didnt expect him 2 look like dat…wow another “T-pain effect” But the song catchy as hell, but i dont agree wit the suicidal part lol

  25. oatsuzn

Why the fuck is this kid talking bout killing himself if a girl dont like him anymore? How is this good? Sounds like some wack, women ass kissing shit. Men should never feel a woman is that good looking to make you kill yourself. We need to hear songs like “if a woman breaks it off, then call the next one”.

Beyonce sings about men being replaceable, and this kid sings about killing himself if he would get replaced. Anyone see something wrong with this lol?

  26. Damn ppl breath. Men please save the bullshit. Even if you only thought about it for a sec I know there was atleast one girl/woman that had you so twisted that you thought about either killing yourself or her ass if she ever thought about leaving you. The song is cute.

  27. This song is super catchy!!!!! Suicide isn’t cool but oh well

  28. UM……….IZ IT JUST ME OR ISNT DIS SONG A LIL ANNOYIN

  29. Realist

Why are people obsessed with looks? That why music sucks right now! It’s all about image! The young man has talent period! That’s why singers like fantasia, ruben and J hud had to go to american Idol to be discovered. Look at the legends in the game aretha, barry, pattie, anita.etc , talent not looks. Rhianna = wack, Amerie=wack , Mya= wack, christina milian=whack and to many male singers to name.

  30. this song is so catchy. they’re playing it heavily here in NYC. love it!

  31. I HATE THIS SHIT 100% PERCENT!! his voice is annoying as is the song!!! WACKTASTIC! i have no idea who he is and can’t wait to forget him… he’ll be back in 5 years with a different sound, i read people saying this shit is all over radio but like Rihanna and umbrella ella ella eh, the album will flop despite heavy song rotation. he is the weakest link GOODBYE!

  32. this song is fuckin horrible. where is my record deal, lol? everybody and they no singing ass mama got a deal and im sittin here broke. him and lil mama need to be in somebody’s classroom gettin a fuckin education. okay, rant over.

  33. This song annoyed me the first time I heard it and I knew it would be a hit because I heard it on a top 40 station. Now if he came out like Buju, only reggae heads would feel him….lawd knows I love me some Banton! But a “pop reggae” fan I am not!

  34. this song should be banned from radio whatever. kids are singing it and it ridiculous. suicide is nothing to glorify. the enemy is working in this place. peace

  35. I love this song. i like how he has his island voice and the oldies mixed together. Plus it makes me wanna say BEEAAUUUUU-TEE-FULL GIRL! Only thing I don’t like is the suicide part.

Oh am I the only one who feels Akon, T-Pain, or Rihanna doing a tag team on this song their voices sound similar.

  36. lol @ 36…. not feelin the song….if you suicidal, call a hotline…something about the vocals is too much..like sweet tea that’s too sweet….video is slightly wack. why all the chicks light and bright….

  37. LMAO!!! since i dont watch TV, for the longest i thought this song was a bunch of white boys. i kid you not.

I like the vid, its cute, and most def. better than some of the crap adults in their late 30s are putting out here.

@#27–yea i caught that too. Im a lyrics person too, so when i heard that i was like how is that possible? but for real, its not that serious, cuz obviously he didn’t write the song.lol

  38. van

I hate this song the boy is ugly sounding like a fake akon. What is so great singing about suicidal people wake the fuck up!

  39. This is my joint but the video is boring

  40. I don’t think I want to listen to a song about killing yourself over a girl with a catchy beat.

  41. Dani

    I HATE THAT DAMN SONG.

  42. Trini_Honey

Lol he finally made it…Congrats boy. And for pa’ who called and asked me (sigh) im Trinidadian- Black- Domini – and White…STOP CALLIN ME JAMAICAN..

    Trinidad and Tobago
    Port of spain…

  43. Trini_Honey

I pictured him being light skinned, one ear ring in the ear, hazel eyes, curly brown hair and a gap (shrugs). He’s chubby but he’s not ugly tho. he a cutie pie..(pie…lol) hes going to grow into his looks..hes only 17..chris brown had an ugly phase..lookit him now…

  44. Lihara

@ 27 he actually did do time at the age 9…

“At the age 9, he was sentenced to Miami Juvenile Correction Facilty for 4 months, on charges of possesion of marijuana.”

    info courtesy of wikipedia

  45. Carmen

Why are people freaking out about him sayin “suicidal”? The song isn’t glorifying it, he’s just saying that he felt terrible about her leaving him. He didnt mean it literally..im guessing that the people that have a problem with this see everything in a weird little close-minded box

  46. LADII ZOE

I TOTALLY AGREE WIT # 33 BUT TO ME I THINK DIS SONG IS ALRIGHT I FIRST HEARD HIM AT MY DAUGHTER MIDDLE SKOOL IN NORTH LAUDERDALE BECUZ DAT WAS DA SKOOL HE WAS GOING 2 BEFORE HE GOT FAMOUS N HE WAS WAY SKINNER DEN DAT BUT ALL DA LIL GIRLS LIKE DIS SONG DOWN HERE IN FLORIDA N IT’S A REAL BIG HIT IN DA DANCE HALLS GET IT SEAN N OH TELL YA CUZ ZARANITA KEYARA SAID HI LOL

  47. mememe

I for one like the song, it’s catchy and relatable, f’ all haters. So okaaaaay? Ya’ll complain how it’s not enough of “OUR” people on television anymore – you jerks should read some of your comments – “too fat, ugly, I imagined him much lighter, etc”? ….. and excuse me but, he DID go to jail at the age of 9. Check your resources before you make comments like THAT!

  48. mememe

and he doesn’t literally mean, “he’s gonna kill himself,” I mean come on! Some of ya’ll analize stuff to extreme..

  49. He might be a lil crazy, but its catchy. Is it just me or does he look like the old DARKCHILD!

  50. KV

Hate it or love it, I’m in dat video! I’m a doo-wap doing the background vocals and snappin’ away. Shout out to SK!

  51. # 3 very ignorant. don’t hide behind your computer and say shit about ppl. why can’t you just talk about the music. this is music review not looks review

  52. yes

17 thats the point, u know the music industry finds somethin hot and rides it out til the wheels fall off

  53. SkippingTowardsJaded

I thought this song was annoying the first time I heard it but its growing on me. Mostly because I love “Stand By Me”

  54. !braveheart

I liked this song, very catchy. It will do great on billboards.

  55. Yeaaa! This is the song here rite now….I understand what he’s sayin, yea the suicide thing is extreme but i dnt think its that serious (i hope!) :S
